After some umming and ahhring I have taken the plunge and ordered the PS5, disk drive and extra controller. My Xbox series X will go to my eldest boy and his Series S to my youngest lad.

Now, I am aware you can share games like you can on Xbox. A friend setting his 'home' console to mine or if I had the sub, my home console set to his. Am i correct if we sign in on the other console, we can game share and play same game together online? Very much like gamepass?
 
Jumped on the 33% discount on Playstation Plus Premium, so ~£80, bought a PSN £100 credit gift card from Loaded for ~£87... Rapidly running out of disc space on the PS5 bought in Easter, having scanned through the huge archive of games and set a few on download queue before going to bed last night!

My premium sub was expiring the day after the offer expires and it let me get another year at the discounted price. I used the ps app to do this. Have you turned off auto renew or cancelled your subscription?

Mine is valid until March next year and is cancelled auto renew turned off. Even if I reactivate it still shows as full price. Maybe I have too long on current sub ? I thought they could be stacked but maybe that’s just codes.

Yeah I think you've got too much remaining sub. I don't think you can stack any more I tried getting another sub after I got the first one discounted and it gave me the full price again. There's usually another discount in early Spring or sometimes in the New Year so you may get the discount then.
 
The Black Friday sale seems a bit meh.

The percentage reductions definitely seem lower than previous and generally underwhelming (for me anyway).

At this rate I'll have to start buying discs again! Lol :p
 
If Sony are offering the 33% discount on your account, you can get 12 months of premium for around £69 using ShopTo PSN credit.

That doesn't seem too bad.

Hi all, is there a way to link a child’s psn account to a parents so to limit play time?

Also, would I need two psn plus subscriptions for each account?

This tbh - where they set prices to 70 quid now, any 'savings' just feel minimal imo.

I recently decided to bite the bullet and get the digital version of Indiana Jones, as picking up a physical copy seemed near impossible - Amazon no longer stocked it, and everywhere else was on par (price-wise) with the PSN store. I opted to grab a top up card, so although I paid 70 quid, it cost me 60 in real terms; I also managed to snag the 'premium' version (down from 100 quid!).

I've only ever seen Indy down to like 55 quid for the basic version, which back then was too much imo - but I cracked as I really wanted to play it

Quite nice for the consoles though - like £130 off for PS5 pro (£570) at one high-street retailer + a free FC26 game.

Also an online retailer offering a slightly less generous £110 off a PS5 pro but if you sign up for their credit deal then you get a further 20% off (and can just go with the interest free 3 payments option)... so basically a PS5 pro for £470 complete with a free game - bargain!

My PSN wasn't due to expire until January 26, I went to my subscription on my PS5 and clicked the cancel option, I then got the option to resubscribe with the discount and it stacked with my current subscription so I'm sorted until January 27.

Tried this ( mine runs out a few days later ) and didn't receive any discount options, other than to upgrade the remaining 70 days of my subscription to a higher tier for a reduced price.

Possibly. Perhaps I should try upgrading and then see if it lets me "stack" an extra year at the 33% discount some are being offered.

edit: Took one for the team and upgraded. No discounted option for stacking another year. You all owe me 8 quid now :D
