After two years, my Foodi MAX Multicooker steam function stopped working correctly. It would take over 1hr to prewarm the water before steaming. Compared to before it would take 20mins.

I got an replacement and it worked for one week. The same fault happened again with a completely new unit, I have got a refund and given up on the Ninja brand. Now I am looking for a replacement.

My main use is the air fry, pressure cooker and steaming. I saw the Instant Pot cookers are good but I never heard of them until a few days ago. So I am not sure.

Can anyone recommend them or anything else like the Foodi MAX.

I don't care about the price if its decent and wont break after 5mins :D

Hate to be that person but why not buy a proper pressure cooker and steamer? Both fit for purpose and should last.

I've been using an Instant Pot Duo 7.6L for 3 years now and it has been perfect, really happy with it. Haven't had to maintain or replace any parts, and most of it just goes in the dishwasher.

The only thing that's a bit annoying is that it has one lid for air frying, and another for pressure cooking, which means you have to store the other one.

However, I believe they released one to satisfy that problem - i.e. combining both functions into one - but I've heard stories that it's a bit less reliable. I'm not surprised in a way - you've got an air fryer where you want lots of air freely flowing and everything stays dry, and a pressure cooker where everything gets drenched and needs to be air tight.

I'd happily recommend the two-lid model. And I think there's a smaller size which I could probably get away with. I do like the size we've got - it means you can do things like pressure cook an entire chicken or beef joint quite fast, and then change lid to crisp the skin at the end.

Any questions feel free.

Thanks, just ordered the Instant Pot Multicooker Pro Crisp with the BF sales.

Let's see how it goes.
