New build, possibly water cooled

Sorry I was blocked for sending too many messages. I am on the new system now and it is awesome but loud, my wife is not happy. I will need to detune it or get quieter components. Its the AIO I think that is too noisy. The smell of burning must have been because everything was new. I can still detect it if I sniff the PSU.

Not sure if that still works

Most modern PCs are quiet (often to the point you can't even tell they're on at the desktop).

I'd be very surprised if you needed to replace anything. Does everything ramp up/down correctly? Is it loud when under load, idle, or both?

hwinfo's sensor tab would be interesting to see.

I'd change out the PSU if it's smelling. It's a ticking time bomb.

I have tinkered with the fan speeds and it is a lot better now when idling, the fans can ramp up a bit when installing programs and playing games. It is louder than I would like but not prohibitively loud. I might change the fans on my AIO for noctua ones when/if I change the gfx card. For fan size do you measure them across the diagonal like a screen.

You shouldn't need to do that, there's only three possibilities and your AIO should state which one in the description. The thickness is important to know, though that's probably not anything out of the ordinary.

How are the temps now? It sounds like you still have some room to play with the curves.

I have set the fans to ramp up sharply at about 50 degrees, but I have left the pump as it was. When I call up the temp screen the highest I have seen the CPU is 59 degrees but the fans are normally ramping down by the time I open the screen. I will be doing some reading tomorrow and some more tinkering when I get home from work. 5the CPU is idling now at 45 degrees and the system is nearly silent.

I have set the fans and pump to run as fast as they can until they get audible, I then set tverying to ramp up sharply at about 67 degrees. It is silent now most of the time. Thanks everyone for the help and advice.

I do have a couple of slight issues, my mouse doesn't work in the BIOS, I have it connected via the motherboard built in Bluetooth but I cannot find any Wi-Fi/Bluetooth settings in the bios. Also the system will not wake up from the keyboard and I cannot find anywhere in the bios to enable/disable it.

A Bluetooth mouse using the motherboard
Bluetooth won't normally work
In the bios as requires a driver to work
A Bluetooth mouse with a usb dongle might work
As the dongle emulates a wired usb connection

Depends on motherboard where it will be
But usually theres a section for
Wake on mouse, wake on keyboard, wake on lan etc
Might need to check the motherboard manual

What mouse have you got?

If it is one with a play and charge cable, it may work if you plug it in.
It's one you have to put a battery in. I'll dig out my old one with a dongle, I know that works. As it's a board with built in wifi you'd think it would work. I had to get a new mouse with silent switches to keep the boss happy. When I alter the fan curves it's a lot easier with a mouse.
I cannot find anywhere in the bios where I can wake up the computer with a keyboard or mouse, I found wakeup on LAN and also at a set time.

I think my keyboard is plugged in to the wrong USB socket. I'll change it in the morning when I get home and try again.

Hopefully the mouse with the dongle will work, my WIFI mouse does.

My Bluetooth and WIFI on my motherboard has always been a bit flaky so i use dongles for both.

J lime custom wayer cooled loops for cpu and gpu for athestics, quiet, lower temps. However you do occasionally need to top up the water/coolant.
