Ive upgraded from a 100% stable win 10 system to win 11, and since then it been a unstable POS, the computer will just freeze, no bsod just freeze, and ill need to reboot it, sometimes it freeze every few minutes, some time it go for a hour but iy would freeze. Have upgrade all drivers and i'm running the latest win update, have tested both ssd and memory, and was getting very ****** off with all the freezing, then i found out if i started a game (in this case civ6) and left it running in the back ground the system become stable,, with no freezing, have now had it going 72 hours 100%

so anyone got any idea why when the machine isn't under a load it freezing, but under a mid load it runs ok ?

Weird. Sounds lkike some kind of power management or memory management issue? Even if I knew how to fix it, my advice would be to start backing up your stuff. Windows upgrades have always given me uphill. Better to just start clean.

Turns out it was my 1080ti starting to fail, was causing it, it kept getting worse, then one day the pc wouldn't even turn on, unplugged the graphics card, and aways she went (on board graphics)

Sure it's not the PSU that is failing? Might have degrade and not able to supply the power needed for the GPU.

What PSU do you have?

Sounds like it could be memory or PSU related.

For the memory try setting it back to default settings in the bios

For the 1080Ti could you test it in a different system?
