If Max wins the last race, most races, and not the WDC, I think thats only ever happened once that I know of in last 20 years. Hamilton-Rosberg I think?

edit: Massa-Hamilton as well

McLaren needs to do some major restructuring in the off season. Slow pit stops, baffling strategy calls and just weird over strategy.

At this rate, I think that getting hold of Ferrari's strategy magic 8 ball may be an improvement for them.

They behave like they have Merc era dominance - when in reality, they are only a little faster than the rest of the field.

Max wins, he needs Norris 4th or lower. Piastri wins he needs Lando 6th or lower, right?

Man I hope this doesn't get determined by those team orders at Monza, it would be so, so boring to hear about it endlessly.

If Max wins championship it will be a massive achievement after a difficult year.....i would say that the odds are against him though...will see i guess.

Max has a good chance of winning the last race, but we'd a McLaren/Norris failure or some other team with pace to change the outcome.

I think given that they've both crashed out to DNF due to their own errors during the course of the season would probably nullify that talking point a fair bit.

Lando very defensive in the interview.

I mean he isnt gonna stir the pot with the leading question is he.

Piastri just got asked the same question. Effectively should Mclaren be favouring a driver.

I understand them not pitting Oscar as he was in the lead and they wouldn’t have known what the others were doing but when Max came in, why not pit Lando?!

The Max fans in this thread would be shouting "unfair".

Media seem insistent on making this about papaya rules. Just a blatant mistake not to pit them. Stella being asked about it saying their flexibility was basically “hoping for a safety car”. What a rookie error, totally embarrassing. Never put your strategy on wishing for a SC, surely that’s strategy 101.

Gifted to Max today, let’s hope last weeks shenanigans don’t mean he’s gifted the WDC as a result.

No-one can deny this has been a remarkable come back and Max won today simply because the Red Bull strategists, in hindsight, made the better decisions.

RB just made the same decision as every other team. As Max said (steady on lads I might agree with something he said) it’s other’s mistakes that has put him into contention.

The fact Max got DOTD is laughable. He was gifted the win by a strategy blunder. DOTD was Sainz’s all day.
