Completely understand your point and agree, some people in fact like the lottery aspect of it to add spice. That's fine. Not real F1 fans. < ;) Nah I get it. Some would have DRS be done away with as well for being fake and not a true reflection of performance, but I think that is a bit different personally.
With the SC thing, say you are watching a football match and then 5 minutes from the end someone gets injured and you all stop for a bit. It would be a bit like resetting a teams 4-0 lead back to 1-0. Still ahead, but gives the other team a chance now. We would never accept that in any sport, yet in motorsport we do. Seems strange.
Why can't they just maintain the time gap difference between the cars rather than let them bunch up under SC?

OK but once the track is clean can't they create the gap again on the last SC lap?
Lol wut?

Also no, trying to enforce such a thing would ensure the SC goes on for an extra 3-4 laps to get everyone in "position".
Although based on recent FIA performance, this could be something they look into, thanks for giving them the idea....

Nah, they could pit the safety car then reset the VSC values with the pre-SC deltas - but it would be awful and a terrible, terrible idea.

Surely if it's possible under VSC it's possible under SC?

I'm not much of an F1 fan, just watching from afar and wading in

F1 had the option not to broadcast the radio message.....but they did.....because drama = engagement etc. The radio messages they choose to broadcast and the ones they don't, along with how they clip the messages to remove context, massively shapes the narrative.

Was going to say this.

I have no issue with what was said on radio.

I would have issue with a press release stating the same.

And yes, those frothers on social media? I said it before, social media should just ban them for life. Obviously they won't, because.. Money. But they could and they should.

I don't have a problem with the radio message or the decision to broadcast it: from the clip shown on TV at the time that looked to be the case and the message was relevant and honestly not all that inflammatory. Marko's comments though, especially linking it to Kimi's blunder in Austria, was completely unacceptable and together with many other dodgy comments he's made in the past I really think the FIA should consider pulling his paddock pass for the final race in response.

The primary responsibility, as always, lies with the harassers themselves but the toxicity is now so well known that there is no excuse for prominent figures in the sport not to be aware of it and act accordingly.
