Thanks @chrismscotland, and a special thanks for all the race threads this year!

I can't call this. I honestly have no idea who's going to win the championship. It should be Lando but it really could go any way.

No worries, as ever its been a pleasure, and apologies for the couple of late threads - those 3x race back to back stints are a killer!

Something, somewhere, somehow tells me that Max is somehow going to get his 5th title....

I’d like Lando to win as I think his loyalty to McLaren deserves it, although I could be easily convinced otherwise. However, I think Max’s skill, experience and his teams sheer will to win at any costs will see them come through.

As much as I'd prefer to see Max win, it would take a big McLaren fumble for that to actually happen - not impossible, as we've seen.

It's the drivers championship, not who can collect the most Nectar points.

Just when I was starting to warm to you :p

I think it would be better for the show for Norris to win. I think in terms of sport Verstappen should take this.

Me, no whatever happens, as a Ferrari fan, this awful, no good, rotten, damnable season will be over. Surely next season can't be any worse. Right.

So Verstappen is 1st, Russell 2nd, Piastri 3rd and Norris 4th. You're Piastri. What do you do?

He will obviously move out of the way. Why wouldn't he? If he can't win it, then why would he purposely sabotage his teammate with whom he seemingly gets on well with.

If he chose to screw McLaren and Norris out of a WDC his career at McLaren would effectively be over. He would become public enemy number 1 and have a legacy of being one of the most bitter drivers of all time. On top of that, the optics of it would be abysmal, especially to other top teams in terms of them looking to hire him.

It would be short term (possibly long term) career suicide, and for what benefit ?

Nothing about Piastri's character suggests he would behave like that.

Hard reset

Ferrari were competitive in two of the 4 seasons of this reg so not all doom and gloom imo.

Had the initial rules not been altered year 1 Ferrari would have likely remained more competitive.

Lando out at the first corner!!

Not sure about the first corner.... I do expect Lando to bottle over the weekend though there is decent run off in most corners.
1) Oscar
2) Max
3) Kimi

DNF: Lando

I think Max deserves this one just for the epic comeback, but would be good to see a different winner.

Lando out at the first corner!!

If I were Lando, i would be staying clear of everyone on the first corner.

The car should have the natural pace to finish at least 3rd easily, and you can at least overtake in Abu Dhabi (unlike Qatar)
