How did you get a lifetime subscription to maps? I thought it was only remote services that had a lifetime subscription and map updates still required an annual subscription.
Just connected drive.

Just connected drive.

I am confused here.
Connected Drive is the name for the entire service, there are within that different elements some of which require a subscription and some of which do not.
If you don't have an active subscription to either map updates or one of the packs then you won't get any map updates. They are not free.
What is the issue you are having?
Unlink and re-link the app to the car?
This isnt confusing! All of my connected drive functions are showing as not having an active subscription in the car. They are active in my app. I purchased a map update and that has failed to apply to the car but is again showing in the app.
It was confusing because you claimed to have a lifetime subscription which isn't possible for maps. Now you've clarified thet you have paid for the map updates subscription then your post makes sense.
Have you tried the update remote services option in settings? Ultimately though I think this is something that you're going to have to find someone sensible at BMW connected drive to resolve.
Correct, any dealer. The M340i developed some eletrical gremlins after the last few cold nights we had, rear parking sensors stopped working and the radio restarts randomly... It's under BMW warranty, from what I'm reading the car can go to any BMW dealership for warranty?
My other question, when would it be the best time to get extended warranty? Now or towards the end of current warranty?

Cold weather are when battery/electrical problems start to rear their head. If its under warranty, yes, just take it in.The M340i developed some eletrical gremlins after the last few cold nights we had, rear parking sensors stopped working and the radio restarts randomly... Not sure, haven't checked, I'm not in the UK at the moment.Correct, any dealer.
Is the battery dying? You can sometimes start experiencing weird issues when it is.
That's good to know, thanks! You can only renew it when it is nearing the end of its term.
That's the plan!Cold weather are when battery/electrical problems start to rear their head. If its under warranty, yes, just take it in.

I always find that around renewal time, there is a few days handover if you renew last second.
I only have idrive 6, so might be different on newer versions, but you can't see what services are subscribed to in the car. The individual services either work or they don't. Only the app/website have a record of what you have.
When you are back, scan it to be on the safe sideNot sure, haven't checked, I'm not in the UK at the moment.
