NVIDIA RTX 50 SERIES - Technical/General Discussion

Get a VR headset. 5090 really shines at high end VR.
I know this isn't a VR thread but I have a 5090 and want to get a new VR headset for War thunder, what would you recommend?

Also, I can't believe the cost of 5090s now, I'm so glad I got lucky and managed to pick up a 5090 FE on launch date.

Depends on how much you're willing to spend. Q3 is the best value, if you don't mind Meta. The higher end headsets are massively more expensive, e.g Pimax, PlayForDream. Or wait to see what Steam Frame costs when that launches next year.

They’ve done a great job with the packaging, a very premium experience.

Very “Apple” like with their over engineered packaging.

It'll be 5080 +5% performance judging by how poor the uplifts were over the 4000 series. There's your 5080 Super bro.

The only good thing could be 24GB on a 5080 but if 5080’s are already as expensive as they are imagine what another 8GB in this climate will do to their price.

I still feel like 16gb is perfect for the performance bracket of the 5080. It'll largely be wasted/cost more for no performance gain.

4090/5090 or wait for the 6080 if you want/need more than 16gb imo.
