As the topic states I’m looking for some recommendations on a good mechanical keyboard preferably 60-65 form factor. Been looking at the rooting keyboards what’s peoples thoughts

OCUK have a great range of Ducky One 3 keyboard that come in all colours/configurations/switches.

They are very good keyboards.

i'm using the razer huntsman TKL and can recommend
they have the 60% version...huntsman v3 pro mini

I was originally looking at Keychron and NuPhy boards instead of the usual “gamer” brands, but… I ended up grabbing a Corsair K65 Plus Wireless recently, I am really happy with it so far.

It was down to £99.99, I managed to get 20% off plus another 8% through my partner’s work voucher scheme, definitely a bargain considering its feature set.

The board is fully hot-swappable with north-facing LEDs, and it comes with PBT keycaps. They’re not shine-through, but that doesn’t bother me and they’re easy enough to swap if you want to.

You get both wired and wireless options (Bluetooth or 2.4GHz dongle), plus a Windows/Mac switch.

Corsair also added foam and a silicone layer inside, which improves the acoustics and overall feel. It gives the board a nice “thocky” sound.

It has more features than I need, feels and sounds very premium - It’s the perfect keyboard for me.

Nice that buddy had a ASU’s wireless keyboard but it packed in kept ghosting in key presses so sent it back

I got a ducky one 2 pro mini 60% brown switch sounds well and haven't had any issues with it seems good quality to me

What’s the difference between colour switches is it just the noise and the stiffness of the keypress?

Yes in most basic terms, although the 100+ page thread on mechanical keyboards here would suggest there’s perhaps some nuance and depth to it too…

For gaming you’ll probably want linear switches that are light, such as Cherry MX Reds. Although different people have different preferences.
