The Liverpool Club Thread. **No Spoilers** *New Sponsors, Comedy Central!*

I know no player is happy when they are dropped, but Salah does need to realise that if his performances aren't up to standard and tactically we're leaving our RB exposed then he can't play. There's definitely an ego thing with the top players, but I think we were better as a "team" last night with our more balanced formation (injuries aside). If there's a long term dip in form from Salah, then I could see him leaving at the end of the year, even with another year to go as he previously has been top dog and not being so doesn't sit well with him.

Salah doesn’t defend and when he isn’t delivering in attack either, it’s like playing with 10. Dropping him is the right thing to do until he can prove in training he has his sharpness back.

Klopp interview on Diary of a Ceo is a decent watch. Comes across very well and very honest about how much influence he actually had in transfer and picks. Mentions he didn't want Salah in the first place and had to be convinced by the rest of the staff to take him.

His ripping on United is also decent comedy timing for a German.

This is proving so right. His toys are going right out of the pram now - engineering that move he so badly wants. If you don't track back & help your RB I'd bloody drop you too.

He apparently told Slot when he came into the club that if he could be 'excused' from tracking back he would perform at the top of the pitch for him. He did that last season. He's not doing it this season, but still isn't tracking back. I can understand Slot dropping him because of that. Salah has made an error of judgement moaning to the press IMO. He's not immune from criticism, the club always comes first and he's not exactly covering himself in glory at the moment. He's also getting older.

I suspect he will play against Inter in the CL during the week, but I'm still disappointed in him. He should know better.

Said exactly the same in the Premier fixtures thread.

He’s so keen to open his mouth when he’s unhappy, but says naff all other times. Ego, age and cost will be his downfall.

And he wants £300k a week for his new contract!
I wouldn't allow £3k a week. When there is no pressure, he is Virgils puppet, passing inside, when there is pressure he can't help himself.
He's our Luke Shaw, steals a living for 7 weeks, has a moderate game to validate himself somewhat then another couple of months of sh!te.

Konate has lost the right to ask for a 150% raise as he did last year. I’d say offer him £100k and he can take it or get less elsewhere.

He should also be dropped in favour of Gomez at CB.

He's been terrible since being linked with Madrid. He's been that bad they've had to come out and said they aren't interested in him now.

Got to be a major blow to his confidence!

Konate complained that he didn't ever get Man of the Match (mostly due to Virgil winning it) - another one with an over inflated ego that thinks he's better than he is.

Liverpool’s press officer having a mare, surely he should have stepped in, that’s what he’s paid for after all
Dunno, I reckon if he interjects he risks Salah having a proper meltdown and turns a car crash of an interview into a multi car pile up. I don’t think there’s much the fella can do but stand there and wince in that situation.

Not something I'd admit to often, but I agree with Wayne Rooney's comments about Salah today.

Going to be an interesting decision to decide if Salah travels with the team to Italy for the Inter match and the press conference from Slot.

the same Rooney that wanted to move numerous times, including handing in transfer requests only to get to get himself a nice fat contract increase? he's the last guy you should pay attention to about 'destroying legacy'

Rooney didn't exactly conduct himself with a huge amount of professionalism at times at United. I guess the difference is that he did it "mid" United career rather than at the end.
