What's your preferred image host for forum posts these days GD?

I saw the random image thread says do not use "imgur, postimage or imgbb" I was only aware of imgur blocking the UK, not familiar with issues with the other two.

What alternatives to those three have you guys found most useful? (Figured a recommendation would be nice instead of the next result on google or whatever.)

Also does anyone know what the issue is with imgbb - like it doesn't store the images for long or something? I just used it now in a different thread but am wondering if I should edit the post and use a different host.

Edit - to make this thread useful:

The suggested solutions so far are:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Imgbox.com suggested by @tamzzy (also has a feature to automatically resize images) - note by @plasmahal it doesn't work on some other forums.
freeimage.host suggested by @Sonea Fifer and seconded by @darael
lensdump.com suggested by @Personality+

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also @Feek has helpfully clarified why the other two hosts aren't useful - it seems they're only hosting images for a short duration leading to a null image being displayed.

(note by @ubersonic that postimage does work well but some users are using it incorrectly - maybe fine for elsewhere in the forums then)

Imgbox.com

Also another benefit of imgbox is that it has the 800x800 resized thumbnail option, so a large image won't clog up the forum

Thanks, that is a useful feature. :)

Yes, that's the site mentioned in the OP here, it's blocked in the UK!

On the second page of that thread someone mentions "postimage or imgbb" but those two are also specified as sites to *not* use in the random image thread.

Imgbox. I've used it exclusively since Imgur went down the pan and IMGBB turned out to be a load of guff and it's been flawless tbh.

See this post (check the spoilered images) to see why.

I'm self hosting now.

Read the thread, it proffers up numerous other options.

I did start to read it and saw two of the services mentioned that I'd already mentioned in my OP - if you have a particular post you'd want to refer to or solution to recommend then just recommend it as this thread is intended for that not - "ackchually here's a multipage thread and somewhere buried inside it is an answer maybe" - that's just unhelpful time wasting.

Like some redditor being "omg n00b read the manual".

A normal person would have just read through the thread, found what they needed and then carried on with their day. Not you though, you attempt to turn it into some sort of internet argument - like you do with literally everything. I linked the thread, if you can't be bothered to take 5 mins to read through it then that's your issue. Enjoy arguing with whoever takes your bait.

No, I'm just trying to make a useful thread here - I'm sure there's some other threads you can go and read - you've added nothing of value here so it would be nice if you could find something else to do on a Sunday evening than to be a nusance in this thread.

I've used img bb off and on for years, never had an issue with it, I set the time before the image is deleted then just upload it, copy the link, jobs a good 'un (afaik).
