Thinking of baby names

Megatron
Galvatron
Ultra Magnus

Last one is a bit pretentious.

I'd give my kids so normal names, possibly relating to a grandparent or great grandparent and not something that will single them out and be the butt of all jokes age 11-17.

Everyone will think you're naming it after a 90s grunge band and not the 50th plain of heaven or whatever nonsense it is.

What's her nickname gonna be "Nirv"

She'll change it to Emma the day she's 18.

*You’re

‘Normal’ names have advantages - can you imagine being one of the current crop of 20-somethings going into the world with names from the Harry Potter franchise because their parents were huge fans? Lord of the Rings maybe?

It might be ‘unique’ to you, but spare a thought for the actual child who has to live with that name, ‘Barry’.

I was once in a hospital pharmacy and a ~3 year old kid was running about. "ADONIS, GET HERE NOW!" boomed out from around the corner and he scurried back with his tail between his legs. Oh how we all laughed. Close to criminal in my opinion. Reckless and borderline neglectful, certainly.

Reminds me of that Johnny Cash song "A Girl Named Smeagol".

Whilst on a recent hospital trip, we met a newly qualified Doctor Tinkerbell. And her last name was triple hyphenated.

She openly admitted that her parents are dicks.

...I'm not kidding.

I'm honestly not sure which is worse of the two reasons tbh, either way the result is the same if the OP is even remotely serious.

I'm one of the younger of my generation family wise, I've an older cousin called "Alien" (the little green men variant is how it's pronounced) because one of my uncles and his at the time wife were huge hippies/conspiracy types and high as kites more often than not. She tells people she's called Eileen, went through absolute hell in school to the point she's in her 50's and still going through therapy.

Think of the poor sod that needs to live with whatever name you give them for life, shy of the stress of having it legally changed and moving far enough away nobody knows any different.

It's a human being, not a social media/fashion/whatever nonsense project.
