ASUS PG27AQWP-W - 4th Gen Tandem OLED 1440p 540Hz + True Black Glossy Coating

Am I correct that even 4th gen OLED are no good if you spend a good time reading text (or some random forum)?

Well they’re better than earlier WOLED panels as they have an improved RGWB sub pixel layout, so they are sharper than nearly all the previous WOLED panels. Only a few have shifted to that layout so far, but that includes the 4th Gen panels.

Increasing the pixel density helps further so for WOLED that would be the 32” 4K panel. For QD-OLED you’ve also got the 27” 4K panel for an even higher density

Yeah, they're better than previous WOLEDs but they're still not great for working on / reading a lot of text.

I have the tandem LG WOLED (1440p 280hz) and it's a great monitor. If I only worked from home 1 or 2 days a week I reckon I could just about manage using it - but for 5 days a week it's not great to work on. Comparatively, my 4k 240hz 27" QD-OLED (AW2725Q) is fantastic and great for text. I'm a bit torn between both at the moment.

Not sure if we ordered from the same shop that shall not be named, but I've been told today that they're now due on the 12th Jan (even though I was told not long ago it was still expected on the 16th December)
 
Very keen to hear experiences when people do receive them, I'm still really tempted by very high refresh 1440p now I've sorted out a dedicated monitor for working from. I almost ordered the 500hz QD-OLED today...

Same, I was hoping there might be an initial batch and I was high enough in the queue. Be interested to see if @Stanl3H gets one next week, good luck!

To be fair I had another account Stanleh I used somewhat more regularly but I forgot the password and don't have access to the email anymore to reset it.

But no, sadly I got that same email saying it's been delayed until January as well, I am wondering if the person I spoke to on the phone was just bsing me.
 
Well my other account got banned but thanks to a mod I got my original back, so instead of 1 post in 10 years I have just over 100 in 20, which is slightly better lol
 
been lurking on this thread for a while, also received the same email unfortunately asus delayed the delivery, hopefully something changes and we get it before Christmas.
