Haha no it wasn’t me @TNA - but I’m sure he looked super cool

I’ve seen looooads of this sort of leather / fleeced jacket recently, seems to be in fashion! (I’m just ahead of the game)

@TNA will probably pick this up in 2027 when it's a fiver.

I am waiting for a fiver off cashback before I preorder it. Want it to hit that sweet £35 spot. Greedy buggers want £39.99 on cdkeys! Can't be doing things like that!:p:D

Another possibility could be, I can make a go fund me page and you all chip in £1 or something. The goal will be £5 so I can play it with you all on release.

Thanks for paying the premium beta tax. Look forward to getting it for £8 a few months after.

Talking about preorders I thought the general rule was - do not preorder?

Rule for those that maybe don't know what's what or in a different situation. As I see it, where is the downside vs buying the next day or week after release?

The upside is Loaded (cdkeys) tend to have cheaper prices and jack then up on launch day.

If you for any reason don't want the game, just send them an email and get a refund. All you have to do is not view the key (obviously).

Say you wanted to wait 2 days after release for any major bugs or something that might be revealed. No problem. Just wait. Once comfortable then click the button to get the key at that point.

That is how I see it anyway. I only pre-order if I intended you play a game on release. The idea is to get it cheaper, nothing else.

To be fair I'm only just playing RE4 Remake now, paid £13 for gold edition and absolutely loving the game

Just picked this up myself, although I went for the standard at £10.

I only finished The Village last year, enjoyed it but I was already sick and tired of Ethan. RE9 is probably the first modern game in the series I'm tempted to pick up and play early, I wont pre-order but as long as there's nothing game breaking I'll pick it up week 1 most likely. CapCom are generally pretty good in terms of perf/game quality on release so I'm not too concerned but old habits die hard.

Depsite loving horror movies and tv shows I'm a bit of a bitch when it comes too games, I've played RE2-3 Remake, and RE7 (back on PS4) before

Thankfully though like Metro RE4R is very much a action game first so I'm finding it way more enjoyable, however it has got me itching to give the others another try and maybe SH2R / F a try

You might like The Village, it is horror but it blurs the line a lot with fantasy elements and feels more action-orientated to me. I'd say if you got through 7 and 2-3 you'd have an easier time with it than those, it's a genuinely good and very pretty game.

You'd probably really enjoy 5 too, although it is admittedly a bit dated now and probably due for a remake at some point.

The only game I'd say is unmitigated cack is 6 tbh, a lot of its flaws are gameplay related however imo so who knows if they'll manage to fix it with the same treatment.

I'd actually recommend the CGI/animated Resi movies too, some are actually pretty damn good and pretty in line with the actual lore. List here of the ones I mean:

@Gray2233 funny enough I tried RE5 in my younger years (I guess back around launch) and never got out the first village hahaha, I'm glad I'm at least a little bit better nowadays

I'll give link a check, I enjoy the movies despite there faults but then again I'm not a movie "connoisseur", bit like games really I've enjoyed a good few 7/10's

I find the live action movies with Milla Jovovich a bit of a guilty pleasure, but the CGI stuff is much closer in style to the older games.

A fun movie is a fun movie to me, as long as something is well done for its intent I can sit through 2 hours of giant monsters beating each other up or similar with deeper meaning/tones. I don't need or want everything to be a proverbial Citizen Kane, sometimes you just want to sit back and enjoy a spectacle.

Apparently Chris Redfield dies at the start of this game. The last word he screams out is “Wesker” - he’s back?!?

Leon and co investigate. After 15 - 20 hours of intense gameplay, it turns out that Wesker was just the name of his childhood sled.

Is Wesker a cat?
