What drove that rise? Looks like ASTS popped too.
Trump signed an executive order on “Ensuring American Space Superiority,” setting targets to return astronauts to the Moon by 2028 and establish initial elements of a permanent lunar outpost by 2030, while pushing more commercial launch and exploration.

The order also calls for prototype next-gen missile defense technologies by 2028, a plan to detect and counter threats from very low Earth orbit through cislunar space, and a “responsive” national security space architecture that leans more on commercial capabilities.

It directs a National Initiative for American Space Nuclear Power, including a lunar surface reactor “ready for launch by 2030,” and targets $50B+ of additional investment in U.S. space markets by 2028.

It revokes the 2021 executive order on the National Space Council and updates the 2018 space traffic policy language to make services available “for commercial and other relevant use.”

Can see what people mean about new T212 UI.

Yet they still can’t give history of individual stocks buy/sells and give a total sum for that stock buy/sells.

Don’t just change the look, making it more difficult to access simple things -they messed with the charts few months back making it more clicks to find what you want.

Bought the SSIT (Seraphim space investment trust, I believe) IPO years ago, was at a loss forever, but popped 20% yesterday and finally slightly green! Might have to sell haha.

Guess it’s driven by that American space news above.

Well that's me entering the old Stock Market from Jan... Nothing mental, just a recurring £200 order every month for VWRP in an ISA wrapper

It's there to help pay off my mortgage sooner and I am hoping that the £200/month will perform better over the circa 12-15 years than it will paying it directly to my mortgage. I will probably increase the recurring order as wages increase or if mortgage payment drops (putting the difference into VWRP)

Should do if you ride out any dips, and don't sell in a crash.. If you expect a conservative 6% average per year, (it'll likley be more thant that) that's a lot more than the interest on your morgage I'd guess.

That's the plan. I set up recurring DD to Freetrade and a recurring order for VWRP a few days later so I can just let it happen and forget about it. The only time I am going to be selling is when there is sufficient in the account to pay the mortgage balance at the time.

A quick use of online calculators, using 6% returns on just the £200 monthly order, suggests it will be about 13-14 years for the ISA to match the mortgage balance. This doesnt take into account any increase in the monthly order nor any dividends from the VWRP which are auto re-invested back into the fund.

Perhaps not the best way to look at this but I see it as a "set and forget" thing.
