David Walliams - It's always the ones you most expect.....

Matt Lucas distanced himself from him years back.. And they were basically a double act.. I wonder why.. Did he catch bad vibes back then I wonder?

It sounds like he's got in trouble for disparaging comments on Britain's Got Talent.

The remarks were understood to have been both derogatory and sexually explicit, referring to one contestant as a "****" and saying of another: "She thinks you want to **** her, but you don't".

Make of that what you will but it's hardly 'It's always the ones you most expect' implication

Yet he sued BGT Production company for leaking private conversations and got a settlement out of it because a £1 million TV deal for one of his books got dropped due to it and a few other money making appearances.
Also reading about the Nazi Salute he gave out on Would I Lie To You which caused a bit of controversy but was edited out because it caused a bad atmosphere at the time. He was on The Wheel other Saturday so is still making appearances. Just a bit indifferent about it all as you never know the whole truth. I quite like David Walliams on TV but you have to be on your best behaviour at all times or these things come back to haunt you when in the public eye.

Just reminds me of the time we were at Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Preston from Ordinary Boys walked out as the compare Simon Amstell was taking the michael out of his relationship with Chantelle Houghton. Not the same thing really but I bet these days it would have been edited out but they showed it on TV at the time.

That was the shield he used.
You are of course, wrong.

No, David Walliams has not claimed to be gay; he's been married to a woman, Lara Stone, though some sources mention him discussing his sexuality and identity in recent podcasts, it's more about his struggles with self-acceptance and gender identity, not a public declaration of being gay, and he's known for past heterosexual relationships.
