Arc Raiders

Runs like a champ (mostly!) on my ancient vega64 (though the cpu is more up to date - 5700x3d) if that’s any use to you as guide for your Pc.

It seems to be one of, if not the best optimized game out at the moment. The big boiz could really take a page from Embark's book tbh.

Thanks. 3900 here, with a Radeon VII, which is basically a big grown up Vega 64 with more VRAM and a pretty light.

I reckon you’ll be grand then. 1440p monitor with settings adjusted accordingly and I still get a ‘whopping’ 55-65fps most the time. Could probably turn the pretties down for more frames but it’s playable and looks decent enough so I’m happy.

Aye it’s really well put together - whatever other issues I might have with the game, optimisation is not one of them.

Well this doesn't bode well :D

Right, had a few runs this morning and I am enjoying it.

Still unsure on what I am doing apart from collecting everything! lol

seem to be coming across other players that are not just wanting to kill on sight but I guess this is what the first 6 missions are about and working out what kind of player you are.

Does anyone know what those computer terminals that you can interact with do? There's a couple of different types I've randomly come across, and it's not obvious what it activates. I've tried googling to no avail.

on which map? blue gate?

theres a secret music room on buried city where you have to click 14 buttons in a certain order around the map to open it... you can get guitars and other musical instruments inside, the button you found is probably related to that!

There are also the terminals on Stella. If you press them they seem to phone somewhere, no idea what they're for tho.

Been off work since the 17th Dec, all I've wanted is to be left alone so I can play this been so bloody busy barely had a chance.

I'm going home today later and nothing planned tomorrow until the evening so hopefully I'll get a good session in tomorrow daytime.

I'm about to go full terminator mode from now on, if it moves it dies. The amount of backstabbing in this game is unreal haha, all fun though.

I did this a couple of days ago. You will end up in lobbies where everyone (and I mean everyone) shoots on sight.

Just go and play COD

This game has got stale for me now. 150hours played so won't grumble.

I have heard to disable cross play for a better experience (Less PVP but unsure if that's true or not
I played with cross play off at 1st as I heard the same but turned it on now and it's generally (touch wood) just as friendly. indeed my only ever revive by a random in solo was with cross play on
