Hi all back again after you all helped me get my daughters first build last Xmas, she had a great time building it herself with a little instruction from me and loving it, she now studying HNC computing but now it's my turn for an upgrade

Have a budget of £1200-1600
Will be using it for some gaming like World of tanks and World of warships type games but looking to start playing more AAA games, will also be doing some photo editing, nothing heavy.

Will be reusing
Corsair 570x case
H150i elite capellix 360mm aio
2x 2tb ssd
Currently have a 1080 and a 4k monitor which I can upgrade at a later time, just need to beat this ram madness first

Any suggestions appreciated just after best bang for buck especially the ram lol

Definitely don't be wedded to C30, or even 6000. It does help, but you're unlikely to notice 5600, or even 5200 if you're playing at 4K. Obviously if 6000 C36 was £350 and 5200 was £340, you wouldn't bother, but if the saving is large (like £100+) I'd take the slower memory every time. If you're not getting a X3D CPU then the calculations can change, because the RAM makes a bigger difference if you got say.. a 9700X.

Lol see this is why I'm asking you gurus as I've not got a clue about ram speeds, I've got my budget and when I seen that ram prices shot up I thought best get this done now before it gets worse lol

at ocuk, 5600mhz ram and 6000mhz are at price parity, so there's no reason to get slower ram

Thank you for the recommendations, I've ordered everything on the list, is there anything I should know or do with this setup once built, been 12 yrs since I built my setup, also is there anything I should consider purchasing down the line, I know I will eventually get a cpl new monitors
Thanks again

Firstly assemble and make sure it works with everything at stock
Once you confirmed all working then enable EXPO in the bios settings
Once that is confirmed working and stable then either (a) leave it alone, or (b) go to amd overclocking settings and set the curve optimiser to -10 all cores, for a cooler running CPU.
You can set up to a -30 depending on your silicon lottery.

top end of your budget. if you don't need the psu then remove it

My basket at OcUK:
This makes me want to cry, seeing people pay this kinda money for ram is insane.

Also annoys me when I see people put "its a good price for these days" (Not being said here but seen it mentioned else where)

Wow less than 24hrs and everything is here, now that is first class service, thanks again
I hope you enjoy the building the new PC and using it

It did hurt paying that price but I'm so glad I didn't need ssd, I got 2x2tb last year for £84 in a sale and seeing them at around £200 each now is crazy
If I can make this system last 10yrs like my old system I guess I can't complain

Just remember that the 16k RAM Pack for the ZX81 was £50.
I paid £89.99 for these November last year and they are now £400

I know I shouldn't but I've already opened the boxes lol so maybe get some things fitted even if not all cabled up, take my time and not screw it up, definitely the best build I've had, certainly the most expensive lol
