At a guess it'll be for MP. I believe I've had the Epic Online Services pop up on Satisfactory even though I own it on Steam. Or it'll be anti-cheat, but that's on anything with EAC, even non-UE games like Vermintide 2.I would have got dead island 2, but i hear epic stuff runs in the background. No need for that. Edit: Yea looks like it's EOS, I can't see EAC running. There is a Marketing Telemetry toggle in the options, though that makes me think they're collecting other things, but then they'd have to to some extent to enable multiplayer.
