Pragmata - Ray and path tracing! #PTON

Hopefully the final game hold up to expectations, you just never know. Although it looks fantastic from what we can see here.

240 fps in the video doesn’t specify which DLSS quality, performance, frame gen? 5090?

Will probably be dlss performance with frame gen x4

You guys tried the demo? I downloaded it and had a quick go for 5 minutes. Looks alright, not as good as I was expecting though. Will have a proper go at some point once I complete Tormented Souls 2.

Played the demo, the hacking feature before you can do any real damage to enemies is just a gimmick and utterly pointless, hard pass from me.

Everybody's different I guess as I love the idea of mixing up regular third person shooter gameplay. I'm just curious how varied it gets. The demo had a little of it with types of hacking nodes and the one boss battle.

Wow, ray tracing now getting gimped in favour of path tracing! :p

The writing was on the walls for raster and now the writing is on the walls for RT too (look at RE :p) WE ARE ON THE RAPTURE FOLKS! Few didn't believe of the day that was to come but here we are, frame gen, upscaling and path tracing are the second coming :D

The game has got incredible reviews so far too

Yeh, another one on my wishlist a few months down the line, after patching and price drops.

Just reading the comments on this video, still ******* hilarious how so many are lacking the knowledge/uneducated in why raster looks like ****.... "herp a derp but games could do shadows under cars years ago" Yes because when games have RT/PT in them and these are running on majority of hardware including consoles as default now.... developers couldn't give 2 ***** about ancient methods that take forever to get good results and have loads of limitations... it ain't rocket science.

Probably AMD owners.

Not a good time to be a ayyyyyamd dip owner

Pragmata Performance Benchmark Review - Performance with Path Tracing | TechPowerUp https://share.google/NyPIUMFF7NhjwsrRA

Path tracing is exclusive to NVIDIA RTX GPUs (we tested 30-, 40-, and 50-series)—it's completely grayed out on AMD. It requires DLSS to be active. Enabling path tracing also force-enables DLSS Ray Reconstruction—there is no way to use path tracing without it (and you can't use it without PT either).

The gap in performance was always massive along with the gap in image quality but now it's crazy the difference

Performance looks great with path tracing

You could do some things better than they are now with RT, but my guess is that RT is becoming the default method and in turn it needs to run decently on a variety of hardware. Ergo, will do the Lumen Software way (or how RE Requiem was) and just run in a more simplistic way. Path Tracing will become the ultimate IQ king. The new "but can it run Crysis?" meme.
