Jim Ratcliffe sounds like the VP of our department at work.

"Here is what I think, based on not really much at all other than some things I heard in the office kitchen, I think we need to basically u-turn on everything we have been doing for the last eighteen months based on a couple of things that I heard somebody say that people are apparently discussing."

#OleGunnarRuinjaer

Solskjaer got 76 points and 73 goals with a midfield of McFred and a defensive partnership of Maguire and Lindelof in his best season. The loss in the Europa League final did a lot of damage as did bringing back Ronaldo. I think he is more equipped than Amorim ever was as a manager at least. He just needs the right assistants around him.

It would be great if he could do the interim part then go upstairs afterwards because very few know what it means to be a Man United player more than him.

Our defence looks far better than then as does our midfield players. If he can get the front players all scoring goals then it might be an enjoyable end to the season.

I don't think scoring goals is a problem in this team, but finding the right balance.. we'll definitely be conceding as long as we continue to have Shaw and Dalot as full backs

There was a couple of new signings, I'd like to see them have a chance, also any youngsters

Alex Ferguson was getting good results last time he was in charge, I wonder if anyone has considered asking him to take it on for half a season?

Lol, you mean like Celtic bringing back O'Neill for the second time this season because everyone they appoint is ****?

Anyway, I wanted Amorim gone last year, but started to warm to him the more he stuck his heels in and was more afraid of the club heirarchy having no idea who to appoint if he was to go than him staying and just establishing us as solid mid table team with a strong work ethic to then add to and improve iteratively in future. Now, after a few days of reflection, this is just the continued chaos of the club and it's disheartening as a fan, no idea how the players must be feeling (although the cash they slosh around in must make it feel ok).

Meh. 15th here we come.

Think of it from the owners perspective, he'll bring some good vibes with him. Neville will surely approve?

Best to make sure he has 2028/9 calendar free too when he returns for a third time.

It's slightly odd on the face of it, and we need more than vibes, but it worked very well last time.

I've maintained for a while now that Amorim has been making the team worse, not better. Ole would just need a small improvement and then we might be in contention for the Champions League places.

No guarantees though of course...

Just changing to 4 at the back is enough.

As long as we don't make the same mistake twice and give him a permanent contract I have no issue with Ole coming back for the rest of the season.

I'm not worried about that, it would be spectacularly stupid, even Ratcliffe wouldn't make that mistake... surely!

There are likely to be a wide range of managers available in the summer, so it's definitely wise to wait.

What manager worth his salt would want to be a head coach of a team with someone chirping over your shoulder telling you what players you are going to get and not who you want and telling you how to play when things invariably go wrong again.

Well Real Madrid, Bayern, Barca all manage it.

Are Utd fans basing Poch on his Spurs years? Consistent he was but didn’t delivery trophies and by end Spurs weren’t as good as his first few years either.

Fell out with PSG board and fans didn’t view him as a massive success there, felt he played negative football, surely not what Utd want? Granted he won trophies buts it’s PSG so winning there league isn’t really difficult
