Panels wise they are all very similar, don't fall for any hype about super efficient panels etc. As for batteries, personally if I was doing it again now I'd just go for the cheapest, something like fogstar..I see Aiko panels come up often and Sigen panels/battery.
I see Aiko panels come up often and Sigen panels/battery.
16 x Aiko Energy 475 Watt Panels (AIKO-A475-MCE54Mb)
1 x SigenStor EC 6.0SP (Sigenergy)
1 x SigenStor BAT 10.0 (Sigenergy)
1 x BIRD-MESH-BLK, 1 x Solar iBoost+, 1 x DNO Liaison -MCS Certificate -Electrical Certificate-Building Control Notification- 5 Year Insurance Backed Workmanship Warranty., 1 x Scaffolding
how much are they charging?
steeper end of the spectrum, would get more quotes
Final price is around the £12k mark for a 31 panel system with an 8kw Inverter and a 10.36kwh battery
except sigenergy are one of the most expensive brandsrealistically i wouldn't want to pay more than £9-9.5k for a 16 panel system. it's 2026, not 2023 lol...prices have dropped massively
average joe subsidising influencers installationsexcept sigenergy are one of the most expensive brands

they are, just not worth the premium imoAre they not good then ?
not anything wrong with it just massively overpriced imo for what it is, can get the same for a lot cheaperAre they not good then ?
The problem with that is most installers won't install them. Solution, get a compatible 48v system installed, and add the batteries afterwards. As for batteries, personally if I was doing it again now I'd just go for the cheapest, something like fogstar..
