Hi , I am upgrading my system to am5 .

I bought all the components but now I am seeing that 9800x3d are pron to failure which makes me rethink my motherboard choice.

I went for sapphire b850a pure mainly because I already own a 9070xt pure and I thought that it would pair nicely in my build but it will be my first time using their board .

I have always used MSI boards and maybe I should have gone with them once again.

What are your thoughts? Should I just keep it or get an MSI board?

The sapphire board is a good choice I would keep it.

I love MSI boards especially the tomahawks.
I am specially debating on swapping it for MSI MPG B850 EDGE TI which is basically a tomahawk but in white . So you think I'll be fine with sapphire ? I have read that they have slow bios updates too ( only after I bought it )

I don't think you'd gain anything swapping from Sapphire to MSI here, I've seen no reports of X3D death on Sapphire boards.

I get that but I think it's mainly because of how new this boards are and I think they are not very popular most of the people go for most reliable brands like MSI , gigabyte , Asus , Rog etc

Sure, but popular brands aren't exactly doing great, are they? :D

I'd just keep it myself.

It sounds like you are not happy with your purchase and just need someone to confirm your decision to swap the boards.

There is nothing wrong with the Sapphire but if you want the MSI just swap it as you will have that buyers remorse going forward.

Are you still within the 14 day returns period?

Yes I am still within the 14 days , I bought it on Saturday with Sunday delivery. The only thing I am not happy about is not having spidf out but I should be fine with usb out to my dac as long as there is no static interference which I do have on my x470

ive got the same board with the same gpu with a 9950x3d on board and its absolutely fine
well more than fine im really pleased with mine
i had the 7800x3d on there for a few weeks as well before i dropped the 9950 in and yeah its absolutely fine so far :-)
i really like this board in case no one has noticed LOL!
