Looks like another new Evil Dead movie is on its way out. Release date July 24th this year. Not much info out and surprised no trailer yet when tte movie has already wrapped up. There a lot of fakes out so wasn't able to get anything concrete on YT.

Already read there another Resident Evil reboot coming out in December as well. Hope its decent as they keep churning out reboots. ED rise was surprisingly enjoyable.

From memory the film ended up back where it started at the lake.

A modern sequel at the traditional location would make me happy.

It's weird because it had no connection to the rest of the film, none of the characters are even in the rest of the film. It feels like a lazy wrap around that was added afterwards to get some immediate action in the film opening (which it doesn't need)

Yeah, that's what I mean, it's a wrap around added that has no connections with the rest of the film.

It will be rubbish, the charm of the originonal films was that the were crazy and original at the time, and now they are just trying to recreate that, but it's just dross.

The TV series was an obvious, low effort cash grab trying to coin in on the nostalgia and this will be no better.

Why can't people come up with good film ideas rather than flogging dead horses?
