Airfryer recommendation

I have a Cosori 10l dual and would definitely recommend it. I was also an airfryerlet until I got it and now I hardly ever use my oven. Its just so much faster, convenient and makes the food a lot crispier.

The dual compartments are well worth paying a bit extra for over a single compartment. Being able to cook two things at once with different temps and timings is a game changer. You can also remove the divider to cook larger things.

What about issues regarding non stick and plastics used?

Ninja crisp is glass so don't have any of those issues - although pretty much all food and water now is basically filled with micro plastics etc

I've got a ninja crisp, duel drawer and one of their max pressure cooker things that can be used as an AF as well.

Crisp is best as you can see the food and use the container as storage (or even a bowl). The only thing I will say that's bloody annoying is when you lift off the lid to mix it and place it back you have to press the button for it to continue whereas the drawers you just shove them back in and away it goes.

The crisp one is also easier to clean because it's glass - although I always just chuck it in the dishy.

I went on their site to get a link - Ninja Crispi (although I paid less than £100!) and noticed they have a bigger and dare I say better one as you can do a full chicken in it! Crispi pro

About the only time we use our oven now is for pizza and jacket tatties. I still can't get jackets to be proper crispy with the microwave/air fryer route.

I've been cutting the pizza in half the rare times I have one and air frying in the Ninja Foodi.

We have mostly bought into Ninja, but also own an Instant Pot air fry/pressure cooker and an Dreo.

All get their use weekly and sometimes nearly all at the same time.

I’ve had the digital version of the Tower model below since 2021 now and cannot fault it.

Has a rotisserie function which is great for a medium sized chicken and I just use foil trays in it so no clean up needed.

You can actually see the food cooking too without having to open a drawer to check which is a big bonus imo.

My ex has the digital model. I was going to buy one but can't find that model anywhere..

How do you overcook food in an air fryer?

Put food in. Set timer. Leave and come back.

The timer will stop cooking so you don’t burn it. If you remember you go back half way and shake it or flip it but even if not, it’s still edible.

The residue heat after it goes off will keep it warm for at least an hour. By that time your stomach should tell you it’s time to eat already.

It’s not like it’s an gas oven. It’s small enough that it doesn’t need preheating, as that is the main point of an air fryer.

At the moment, I am trying to find the right one to buy, for me, who lives alone...

Do you eat small or big
Do you batch cook
Would a device with more than one cooking chamber suit, ie Protein in one and on hold say fries in the other
If time is an issue a device that heats almost instantly would suit

For me, I would go for a Ninja single draw or the Crispi.

Or

Consider the dual draw if you wish to cook different items for the same meal.

I've had the 4.7L Cosori model for a couple of years now, and I love it. Easy to clean, reasonably compact and works great. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0936FGLQS

I was an air fryer sceptic for years, but once I got one I was completely converted. People saying "it's just a small convection oven" don't understand what a difference it makes having the air flow through the plane of the food instead of from front to back.

Complete convert here as well - though I just bought a cheap Quest one as I wasn't convinced - which has done well enough but the fan is a bit rattly now - so looking to replace it with something a bit better quality.
