Any recommendations for gaming chairs for bigger guys? I used to use a Nitro Concepts x1000 which was a budget chair but the dimensions were good. That chair broke recently so I replaced that with one of the cheaper Andaseat chairs and I quickly noticed that it feels a bit too narrow even thought its a standard size chair.
At the moment the only company I can find that specifically makes gaming chairs for bigger people is DXRACER with their "TANK" chair, but that's quite expensive.

I am 6'3" (and tubby) and find the whole world is too low/small for me, and hence I get a tight mid back from stooping.
I use a Herman Miller Aeron Type C. I bought it used from Facebook for about £400. The Type C is wider/deeper/taller and worth the premium used price over the more common Type B.
I used to have one of the Noblechairs - The HM is far better.

Gamers Nexus made a video a couple of years ago on how poor some gaming chairs are.

All chair recommendations always seem to lead back to the HM Aeron, lol. I really need to try one some day in a store, that's the only way I would be convinced about that chair. I prefer a chair with a higher back though, I'm curious about the HM Vantum.

Yer like others have said try a Aeron out or simliar HM chair. They come in sizes unlock a lot of other chairs designed for small, medium, big people.
Try and find somewhere local to try one out first - they're not for everyone especially if youre used to fake leather office chairs. It may take some getting used to.

Im going to try out the HM chairs some time soon at a store, but tbh they are beyond my price range at this point. At least I will know if the hype is real though.

If you don't mind second hand, you'll find office clearance businesses that have loads of second hand chairs for sale in warehouses, including Aerons.

Find a seller of refurbs. With solid feedback. These chairs are built to last decades.

OK so today I went and tried the Herman Miller chairs in a store. This is my verdict on them:

Aeron (type C):
The most hyped of all chairs! Yes it was comfortable to sit on. It is supportive and I was impressed my how many options and switches it has on it to customize how you want to sit. I also like how you can spec it with a metal base instead of plastic. However, I don't like the way the seat curves up; it digs into the side of your leg. Also the fact that it uses mesh fabric is ok for summer but otherwise I didn't like like how it felt (feels less supportive). It the hype justified? Sort of.

Embody (Logitech):
This is the one that surprised me. It is very comfortable and the dimensions are good. You have more space for your legs to rest comfortably because the seat is flat. The armrests are really great and even better than the Aeron. Feels like a premium chair and the design/aesthetic of it is really cool. Materials used feel like a quality gaming chair. If it was slightly larger (there is only one size) and the backrest was a bit higher it would have been just right for me. Really expensive though.

Vandum:
Feels plasticky and less premium than the other two chairs. The seat is not deep enough for bigger people. Arm rests not as good and don't go far back enough. Decent back support though. It is fairly comfortable for the right person.

Overall I would say HM make some decent chairs and their reputation is mostly deserved . They are very expensive though; I wouldn't pay the regular prices rather wait for their 25% off sale which only happens few times a year. The 12 year warranty they have is really great but not something you would get with second hand ones. The Embody was my favourite chair of the three.
