Has my GPU died?

I was playing a game and because I left it paused to long (trying to fix blocked hoover!) it crashed leaving me a black screen, I tried everything to get back to my normal desktop to restart pc, but the black screen wouldn't go. So I powered down and restarted gutted about part of the game I hadn't saved.
Then noticed that apart from a quick flash of the normal Windows log in screen, all I was getting was a grey/blue screen with greyish lines going vertically down, I moved my mouse and the lines seemed to follow where my mouse icon would have been.

After googling it, I tried
1. unplugging the pc for 30 seconds
2. Different cables
3. Removing and reseating the memory cards
4. Removing and reseating the GPU
5 trying to plug into the onboard graphics

Tried all these and nothings worked.
Is my card dead?
If so can anyone recommend a good card for a
MSI MPG B550 GAMING EDGE WIFI Motherboard, with a AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU and Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB (2x8GB) 3600 MHz AMD Ryzen Tuned DDR4 Memory.

Any help greatly appreciated.

What is the exact make/model/wattage of your PSU?

What sort of budget do you have?

What is your current graphics card?

Have you tried a different monitor to rule that out? A TV would work too.

Hi Gray2233

PSU is be quiet! Pure Power 11 500W 80 Plus Gold Modular Power Supply

GPU is a MSI Radeon RX 5700 XT 8GB MECH OC

Budget is about £300-350 as it caught just when money is tight.

My daughter I bringing her apart TV around tomorrow so I can check that as well.

Can you get into safe mode? If you can try ddu the drivers and reinstall them. See a lot of issues with amd drivers and windows installing over newer drivers and causing such issues recently.

Couldn't get into safe mode, I tried another monitor and it had the same issue so it's deffo the GPU. I just bought a Sapphire Nitro+ AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT Gaming OC, 16GB for £388, I thought I might as well future proof my GPU for a few years.
Then for my birthday and Christmas a new motherboard B850, ram and CPU!
