*** Big Fat Weight Loss Thread ***

Honestly. Very few issues at all. I got around 2 hours sleep and other than my knees I feel fine. Done around 12k steps today. Huge props to Kostume bib shorts.

Had a dip around 5pm fatigue wise but that passed.

Just home, and weighed in for the first time since last Wednesday. No real surprises that i'm up at 100.7kg as 5 days of eating loads will always have an impact, regardless of how much i may burn, think @AndyCr15 has similar findings and it slowly drops after the return to normal.

What really threw me off though was the lack of consistency in eating. I'm pretty regular at home for meal times but in Girona it was all over the place with breakfast as late as 12, then skipping lunch and having tea around 9pm one day, to having breakfast at 9am, with lunch around 1 and tea around 7.

Looking forward to a little more consistency, although i'm meant to be heading to Madrid with work tomorrow/thursday which won't help!

Yeah, give it 7 days to drop down again. I think I get a similar thing even just over a weekend. This weekend I rode 3 times, but this makes me eat more. I'm still in a deficit, but at the moment I'm full of food! Weighed in this morning at 220lbs, which is pretty level on recent weigh ins, but my BF% showed lower than usual, which is a positive.

@Martynt74 - enjoy Madrid, so much good food there! Well done again on the endurance event, still can't believe how crazy that is!

I need to get some more consistency over this week, busy work is going to curtail gym time, but we'll see. BH weekend has been great for delicious food, but not great for reducing weight! Thought I was going together back to sensible eating yesterday, but was knackered after a long day so had fish and chips.

Oh yeah. I'll be with work all the time (and they have an amazing bakery below the office). Just need to try and limit the cake intake.

Birthday weekend complete and suitably full of excessive food/drink.

Scales kicked in at 99.7kg this morning, and i've no real plans ahead of events, so a focus is on getting this down and alcohol intake limited. A challenge now the summer is kicking in and outdoor beers by the pool get all the more tempting.

Down to 13st 6lbs (85.27kg) this morning, which is pretty light for me without the additional protein and creatine I've been on over the last 2 months. Will be interested to see how that translates to muscle / body fat % because lifts have stayed relatively stable, football & tennis have been going well (apart from rolling my ankle last night!) and the hope is that I've trimmed a bit more fat off whilst maintaining muscle.

PS. Ate a whole easter egg on Tuesday night. :D

I'm about 2½ months in to using creatine too and it's interesting... I'm hovering around 15st 9, instead of maybe 15st 4 or 5 (at a guess) but, for what they're worth, I've had some lower body fat % readings from my scales, so I guess the extra 4 or 5lbs is fine.

Yeah, everything I've read indicates that water is drawn into your muscles which'll increase your weight anyway. My weight went up by maybe a lb? Then it's started dropping off again a bit. I'm quite surprised because I've been having some pretty omnom-tastic weekends.

I’d be interested to see how my weight changed if I stopped creatine. I reckon I’ve been taking it for 6 months now and I’m hovering 2 kg over my usual. I do need to up my game a bit with the diet, but maintaining is good considering the social events recently.

Just tell yourself the other fatties on ocuk have lost 2-3kg without creatine so convince yourself you'd be that much lighter without it. That's my approach to feel good :D

I lost over a stone in a few months by making sure I walk at least 10k steps a day doing a brisk walk. I get around the boredom by listening to a podcast on my headphones and I dont reach back home until its finished.

Been on a road trip round the UK for the past 2 weeks, 11 of the 13 nights I had opted for breakfast included so I have basically been eating a Full English everyday, no gym, no cardio but today I weigh in at 71.8kg.

Although we have been skipping lunch most days as there were lots of driving, or so I thought but there was lots of ice cream, chocolate, desserts, some alcohol even and a few 3 course meals.

Got home last night at 9pm and went straight to the gym at 10.

Oh excellent. By logging a piece of chocolate cake with icing, MFP informs me that I’ve achieved my fibre goal /facepalm. I guess accountability is the first step in achieving anything. Hopefully will have the opportunity to get on my bike this weekend with good weather.

I am almost at where I want to be, health and weight wise.

I was 120kg last September. I'm now 82kg. Eating 1400 calories a day, with around 120-140g of protein most days, combined with 30mins of daily weight lifting and 30-40mins daily cardio has meant I've gone from a fatty to a fairly slim guy.

Was 44" waist, now I'm 32" or 34" depending on the clothing brand.

My gym routine is 6 days a week.

I would like to hit 78kg. So I'm close.

This is my posh-scales-at-the-gym-app-screenshot, showing I've made some progress this month, even though I've been far from a saint.

I've gotten down to just above 14% body fat (ish!), so now looking to trim down the last little bit for visible abs. I only want to do it to prove to myself that I can do it, as I've always wondered if it was achievable for me, but haven't managed it up to now (am now 42 years old).
It's been a bit of a bucket list thing for me, and knowing how much work it's taken just to get to where I am and still not have visible abs just goes to show me how unsustainable it would be to keep that sort of physique long-term. I'm just not built for it!!
