It's too hot :(

Back in East Anglia and it's definitely hotter here.

Plus this house is awful in the heat, it's only about 25 years old and it's good in the winter but not designed for this.

Old stone farmhouse with shutters over south facing windows working as designed.

Last year when we had that heatwave in July we were staying in a converted barn with literally 6 feet thick stone walls - just stayed nice and cool inside.

EDIT: Well the back wall is around 6 feet - the rest are 3-4 feet.

We currently have a light show, no thunder yet though
Sad to miss out on this. Threat was there. But no dice.

It is indeed gross Today.
27, no sun, insane humidity.

Give me 35 and clear sky's vs this any day.

House is now 25 rather than 29 but it feels much worse.

It's a bit humid, apparently very light drizzle been passing through for at least an hour, but lounge is staying under 29C and it's 28C outside.

Bit more comfy than last five days, but looking forward to temperature drop over the weekend to approx 20C.

29c outside, 23c in the house, lovely.
Fantastic thunder and lightning show at 4am, woke me up. Not much rain though.

This is pretty fine. 26° outside, a touch overcast to stop the sun from being a laser beam.

Also hitting 15° by midnight and a great chance to have a proper sleep since this began.

Storm last night which woke me up, it was definitely going over my area, lasted for a while, sadly though today is still very hot. Just air is a little less muggy. Albeit still unpleasant.

Room temp 28.6C which is actually higher than same time on Wednesday. I think it will exceed 30C by end of evening.

a/c should arrive early next week, and I will get the hole done as quick as possible.

Opposite here - a lot more muggy than the last few days when it was hotter but less unpleasant. Got things I should be getting on with struggling with how muggy it is to have the energy to do anything.

I'm not dripping with sweat so that's a bonus but the air is still rancid. Can't wait to get a proper fresh blast of the good stuff. :p

Had to stick my fan on again about an hour ago but that's about it. Finding it pretty dang pleasant in general - the older I get the more I like the heat.
