Anyone for a kebab?

Anyone eating that elephant-leg kebab meat sober needs to stop asking for garlic sauce and start asking where it all went wrong in life.
Or maybe some people aren't that fussed what part of the animal it is, were not all that bothered about choice cuts. Grind the whole animal up for all I care.

According to their statement to the Police, when asked to explain how they made their kebab meat, they were sheepish about it.

People are spoilt nowadays. When I were a lad nowt was wasted.
I have a kebab occasionally, there's a highly rated rusty old kebab van that trades out of an industrial estate near here.
Meh, nobody lives forever.

I've tried making it myself many times.

But no matter what I can't get it to taste the same.

And before you guys say MSG, I have that and packed it with that, and salt with the various spices, and still not the same.

I think......... They are somehow able to emulsify fat and then mix it in the "meat" so it still somehow remains solid after it's been cooked rather than just dripping out, or somehow bind the fat in at least.

Salty spiced fat tastes great, you only need a little meat flavour in that, hence how they can get away with using so little of anything that would resemble lamb.

No worse than sausages

To be honest I'm not sure why mcdonald's tastes so bad because by all accounts they use decent ingredients.
I used to work for a large flour miller. At the time, McD bought our most expensive flour to use for their buns. What they did with it, I do not know.

Toe nails and beaks
Funny you should say that, a friend of mine bought some really cheap chicken nuggets once (Thin they were happy shopper) and on the back it stated "Warning, may contain traces of beak" when i pointed it out to him they went in the bin and he never bought them again.

same as anything you often get what you pay for or just go to decent places. theres many reputable places that do things with food we wouldnt consider good but we still eat em. there will be bad and good kebab places.
