Yeah.... I don't have £200k .... and I wouldn't be buying a Toyota for that much even if I did, so many better options for even half that.... I'm glad Toyota are taking an interest in performance again, but the pricing is just lulz

Basically new LFA, that’s nothing like the LFA.

I think I’d still prefer the LFA.

No, the GR GT is a new car with a turbocharged V8 petrol engine that’s nothing to do with the LFA. There’s also a new LFA, which is full electric and therefore also nothing like the LFA.
 
Seen it in flesh and it so wide makes me wonder if it would cause issues on most UK roads and I feel the AMG GTR is similar and far better looking.

Nice Toyota is still making cool cars!

Who want a new cheap Toyota for 200k when you could get a secondhand Ford GT for around 650k :cry:

Remember people are buying GR Yaris' for near enough £50,000 :p
 
Its honestly great. But I think what worked so well with cars like the GT86 was the platform for that price, so many builders of track cars and drift cars were all over it and it was also affordable for everyone, it was a cult car
This 'halo' car will look good in a dealership but I really can't see people going to Toyota for their supercar fix, maybe i'm wrong and they get traction in this whole new direction

I think a lot of the major supercar brands have lost their lustre over the years, so I'm not so sure.

Meanwhile there's serious love for Japanese performance cars, but they gained that as a result of offering on par or better performance for a lot less money such as the iconic Nissan GTR of yonder days.

Honestly, if I was looking for a new £200,000 performance car I think I'd be tempted over a lot of the other offerings in the price range, biggest issue is the size of it but if you're buying it as a track day car it matters a lot less.
 
Looks like a nice upgrade to my GT86, shame it's more than 10x the price :eek::(

Maybe one day once I drive my GT86 into the ground and make some real money!

Don't sell it. I regret selling my GT86 and now even one from the same year, same mileage is almost 2x what they were selling for when I got rid of it :P

I replaced it with a Lotus Elite, which was muuuuuch quicker but the GT86 was just nice to drive about.
