YouTube Premium

Premium Lite has been good so far, only a tiny fraction of videos seem to show ads, yesterday 1 music video did and that was it all week. Seems to be smaller video content only.

Yeah it’s worth just paying the 12.99 a month. It’s probably my most used app.

I’ve never been given a reason by gameseal. One thing I find interesting though is while it’s a 12 month subscription, when I go into settings - purchases and membership it starts with “individual membership provided by Flipkart black” early in the subscription but after a couple of months shows “benefits end on x date”.

It’s like they’re only buying a few months at a time and hoping people don’t bother chasing gameseal for the rest of the subscription.

Either that or they’ve got a terrible system for maintaining the 12months people pay for having to renew it internally every few months and some failing.

Yeah that sounds like a realistic manual problem someone has to manage. So they could package it up as a block of months but in reality someone has to extend each license before it expires. Odd but wouldn't surprise me, hope its not the case! :)
 
I think they are also reselling family slots in some cases, so they're just migrating people in and out of family accounts on a rolling basis, and therefore it's not worth the resellers doing an annual sub. Even more so if Google then clamp down on it and cancel the membership for breaking TOS with no refund.
 
Google could simply just charge less considering its not rocket science to know all these workarounds are noise and a waste of time for many. This is perhaps why they came up with the "lite" version. However the price disparity between regions is a joke.
