I've been living in Mumbai for the last 7 months paying through my apple store account for Youtube Premium. Suddenly I get the email.

Seems like once you get the UPI id verified all works again.

I wouldn't mind except for the fact that the UK has just about the highest family membership cost. I don't mind paying, I just don't like the smell of Vaseline when I do.

This is the thing for me - I don't mind paying but when (A) The UK generally gets pretty gouged on price compared to most of the rest of the world (B) Far too much of the site outside the core player functionality is like something from the 90s, it is taking the mick. I'm paying for Premium Lite at the moment but if that goes or the Lite price goes up I'm out again.

It's already free for everyone though.

People paying for it ain't going to use an AI version when they are not even using the already available ones.

There are many attempts at alternatives to YT but they can't challenge how established YT is unless they basically have massive capital to pay everyone to use them over YT (and even Amazon with Twitch, etc. haven't managed to crack that) or YT massively screws up.
