Not really banter but there's nowhere else to put it really, Franco Baresi has passed, this is sad news and he was such a great defender in his time, glad I got to see him play:-

That AC Milan team was superb in the late 80's and 90's - watching Italian football and seeing Baresi, Maldini, Costacurta, Van Basten etc in the various Milan sides was quite phenomenal.

He definitely redefined the modern defender. RIP

Agreed, used to play football on a Sunday morning, couple of after match pints and then lay on my bed watching Football Italia on Channel 4, some great teams and players in that era
