Motherboard cpu help

Hi all, I have recently upgraded my not very good pc to have a new graphics card (geforce 5060) but i wanted to upgrade both the cpu and motherboard as I currently have an Intel b75 motherboard and i7 3770 cpu which results in bottlenecks, can anyone suggest any good motherboard cpu combos for around £350 and would i have to change the ram to ddr4/5 if I install a new motherboard and cpu? Thank you

yes. though with your budget it will be ddr4.

You will need DDR4 or DDR5 memory.
AMD will give you the best bang for the buck.
If you go AM4 / DDR4 you will probably get a faster processor than AM5, because you will save on memory, but your upgrade options in the future will be limited.

Unfortunately, the RAM prices make this not viable for DDR5.

DDR4 is possible, though you're still best off hunting for a used bundle or just a used RAM kit.

There are some good 5600X chip and motherboard bundles just now. Other than those you might have to go off piste and buy used. My buddy sold a bunch of 8700K and z370 bundles that didn’t make much at all at auction. You might be able to pickup a 10900 cheap and that’s pretty much peak Intel P core without the E core fluff.
