EV general discussion

competitor - if you are not bored with bmw, isn't the bmw ix3 40 imminently available, a next generation 800v platform.

Amazing and gifted, the minions will be thinking awkwardly about the BYD availability and the normal scales of time for such 400 to 800 conversion. Maybe next time the priest will deliver a godly gift to those WiFi shy amongst us.

If you can't tell I've been studying jpaul on Duolingo. :P

Just got a Kia EV2 GT Line, had it about 3 weeks. Comming from a 17.5 Year old Mondeo that I have had since new. Loving it no gears to change and screens is like coming from DOS to Windows.

One thing I have noticed since buying is that there are a lot of EV experts out there that have never owned or driven an EV.

:)
You've also got real experts who are very arrogant so be careful about asking simple questions.

Since you're new make sure you get the right supplier, I can recommend Octopus on the Intelligent Go system with a Zappi charger.
A little fact from my side, we were paying between £180 to £200 a month for house electric and petrol, when we had an EV on Intelligent Go our bills have come down to £80 to £90 a month.
When you plug in Octopus gives you a schedule, ours normally starts at 8:30pm for cheap electric and that's when the washing machine and tumble dryer go on.
Obviously others are having success with other suppliers and chargers so pick everybody's brains.

Congrats on the new wheels :)

Owning an EV is easy peasy, although you'd never realise that from the mainstream media

I'm with Octopus now, and even though I have a reg now, it seems that you get 7 or 9 days to connect the Tesla app and test charge the car. So not going to mess about with that yet.

So I just need to make the switch to Intelligent I guess. Also getting panels and a battery installed next week too, so need to make sure that is all sync'd up and talking to supplier too.
