It's too hot :(

Think it's coming to an end , bought some fleeces :)

Is that the BBC noob water that always under temps? Or are you up north?

Saying that, it does look cooler.
But sun + cool is better than cloud + warm.

I've had my fleece on at home the last few days and although the look of the weather hasn't changed I put my fan on tonight at full power because it's 30c inside.

And I've also come to realise I have no idea how weather reporting works. Yesterday was sunny and hot, I went on my balcony and it felt like it was 30c+ but my phone app said it's 18 but feels like 14. I went and got my thermometer and went back to the balcony and recorded 37c before I went INSIDE to cool-off

Sun + no wind can be hot no matter what the degrees C says

Finally having to close the bedroom window room temp dropped down to 14c, upside being on the road side reduces noise

Who ordered this incredible weekend weather in mid October? Me and a friend have just got back from a body board session and sat outside on the beach bar balcony in t shirts and it was hot! She did say the sea was a little cold after a few hours!

Waves were big and kind of perfect.

Never seen so many boarders at rest bay before.

Well the living hell that is winter is back upon us :(, miserable, dark, depressing, bleak, gloomy, desolate, forlorn, woeful, dreary, funereal, melancholic, dismal, absolute JOKE of a season destroys our mental health once again

I never ever feel ready for the day until after dinner most days, summer or winter; just in winter the days already ****ing over, Jesus wept  you get about 1 hour of the day where you're feeling up to life then its ROBBED from you.

Disgusting time of the year, those that like it have some extremely serious issues.

Can't even read books without a torch; even with the big light on its SO dim! :(:(:(:(:(

Really wish humans naturally hibernated, we could avoid this drivel every winter & just live nice lives in summer!

It sounds like you're not a fan of Winter?

I dont mind the winter, colder darker nights we can close curtains blinds snuggle up under fleeces on sofa or gently simmer in our offices playing games. Feels more private in the Winter as opposed to having to have all windows open to get rid of the stifling heat.

However, I do understand some people such as young squirrel up above doesnt like the Winter, therefore for that sorry you dont. Have you tried to set up a bright warm glow lamp behind your sofa to read? Or is it the fact you have to have a light at all?
It does seem darker though you are right. :)

Here are a few good things about Winter

Fleeces
Blankets
Cozy socks
Warm towels in the morning as the radiators are on
Log burning fire (If you have one, we do not ;( )
Hot Chocolate
Hot homemade nourishing soups and casseroles with great hunks of bread
Less people in shops apart from December :D
Christmas if you are into that shizzle (see I even put a disclaimer so I dont get an upset squirrel)
CHESTNUTS
:)

What a kind post for OCUK, aw, lovely! See, its warming my heart already.

Yeah I have a warm glow lamp but I just need a lot of light to read, and I'm trying to put down the kindle and buy proper books so they don't just feed the mega corporate machine.

Yeah not an Xmas fan, quite like Xmas eve as the entire family comes over but not fussed on the day.

Managed to get to my nearest forest and walk in the warm sunlight this afternoon so feel amazing now, need to jump on the warm light when it appears in these dreary times.

Ah thats ok, no problem. :)
You can get quite good bright warm glow lights for reading, It might take a bit of setting up but can be done.
I get the wanting to read physical books too, I prefer this too but my eyeballs are so broken i cant I have to use a tablet.
Would one of these SAD lights work? Im thinking thats meant to go to daytime sunshine levels so would this be bright enough but feel natural to read? :)

Oh lovely, cant beat a walk in nature on a crisp sunny day. :)
