Does anyone have one of these?

PowerMate
USB Multimedia Controller & Input Device

It does look pretty cool, completely programmable and compatible for PC. I know some people could think of a better way to spend £30-£40 on but i just was wondering if anyone had one, and if so - are they any good?

ahhh its a knob!

i already have one

but mine is pink

I love a gadget but there is no way you can justify the money on that mate unless you mix audio/video but I'm guessing there is probably better equipment for that.

Yeah, i think you've hit the nail on the head there - it is a gadget, which could end up being an expensive volume control.

I was just wondering whether anyone had used one before and if they're worth the money.

Just got one - it's brilliant. You can program it to do pretty much anything within the perameters of Rotate Left, Rotate Right, Click, Long Click, Click Rotate Left, Click Rotate Right.

It can be set for use within any application you use as it creates a profile for the application that only applies when the application window is active. Otherwise it uses a global application like volume up, volume down mute, and whatever other function you apply to the remaining movements.

Whilst browsing on the interweb it works as scroll up and down (left and right), short click back, long click forwards.

In Photoshop I have it to resize the size of the brush and a click Right/Left to zoom the image.

It is a very versitile tool - love it and worth every bit of the £20 I paid.

OH and it looks very cool. Movement is just like a high end stereo knob.
