Glad you're okay Scuzi, very shocking :( Brings it home even more when you see something liket his happen to someone who you're used to seeing post everyday. Could happen to anyone :(

Glad you are OK Scuzi. You did the right thing, running when you had the chance. You mentioned that the guy is well known and he seemed to know your name. All the keyboard warriors make me laugh, "should'ave filled him in good and proper when he was down" etc. If you had gone to town on the geezer, what are the chances that he (and possibly his mates too) would have come looking for you? Hopefully thats now the end of the episode. Played mate.

Goodness grief that's terrible... glad you're OK though. I think if he had tried to stab me, and I was in a lawless place like Ireland with the possibilty that he might get me again i'd have (providing I was in a state to think straight, can never tell how you'll react in that situation) thought about hurting him further though... not gratuitously, but enough that he's be out of action from stabbing ANYONE for a while. Likely hurt his legs. He might do the same thing to someone less capable than you tommorrow. :(

OMG I DIDN'T JUST READ THAT. Lawless place like Ireland!!!, please go back to sleep you fool. WOW someone was near knifed, like it doesn't happen in england and people get away with it, jesus i still cant get over reading that.

Good things ** ok m8. If you had of knifed him back you would problary be the one in jail :(

P.S Lawless Ireland, m8 you live in England where you can get away with everything and if you do go to jail your only going to be there for a month or two.

By "lawless" I didn't mean wild west, lol, bad choice of wording on my part, I just meant that compared to the UK it's not as tight. My mate lives in Belfast near Duncairn Gardens (think that's the place he said) and he has told me some horrible stories about the place.

You should have kicked his face in beyond recovery tbh.

Shh apparently you're a keyboard warrior for standing up for yourself. Apparently everyone using the internet (or at least this forum) can't fight, and have no violent tendencies whatsoever!

Once again its where you live. I am sure there is just as many places in the UK that you wouldn't enter without a small army. Dont judge a country by the stories of one person. Know what i mean?

Scuzi, I don't know what part of Ireland you're from but all I can say is that you will come accross people like that unfortunately at 3:00 a.m. in the morning. I know, it's a sad world that we live in when we can't walk home in the early hours in the morning. But luckily you're alive to post another day. Congrats on coming out of it alive and well ;)

I agree with you, i've never been there and it's illy to judge a place based on the stories of one bloke I suppose. Does sound quite bad though. :)

What sounds bad? lol If you mean someone was near knifed, they also have knifes on the mainland too you know. Sure over the past 2 months there were near 200-300 reports of knife attacks in england alone.

UK is probably the worst place for knives... I even saw a kid (16/17) take one out of his pocket and hand it to a mate the other day in Crawley in broad daylight when I was in town. I'm not referring to knives... I said he's told me some pretty bad stories... about experiences with him and his friends in his area.

There are times and places for 'standing up for yourself'. In this case, Scuzi was assaulted by a drug dealer, who is known to the paramilitaries, and has been kneecapped in the past for his transgressions. He stood up for himself ok, but legged it when he had the chance. We can't sit here an judge what's right or what's wrong.

I could tell you some FAR worse stories about where I lived in England and I (nor any of my friends) have ever had a single run-in over here.

I know full well what your talking ahout. But liked i said above dont judge one area by the stories of one person. For example he might of had a crap time, but someone 10 yards down the road might be having a lovely time in the area. Anyway you know what i am getting at.

Lets hope suzi tells the right person and he might get knee capped again :)

I never judged him! I think if he felt like running then he should run as fast as possible in the other direction! The very fact he stood up to the bloke and lamped him one shows he's got balls of steel as it is. I know my post did seem a bit keyboard warriory but that's just my mentality about situations like that... I have a bit of a screwed up way of looking at things like this. If someone tried to stab me over £4 and ended up in a vulnerable position I would take it further if I had the chance... just the way I am, for better or worse. Definately nothing to be proud of.

Yep, but the point I was trying to make is that if Scuzi had damaged the bloke, these type of people would in all probability be hell bent on some kind of retribution. I hope it's the end of the matter for Scuzi.

My keyboard warrior comment was a generalisation, not aimed at you or anyone specifically. I'm not one for backing down from things, but every situation is different, and this especially so. We are talking about a serious drug dealing headcase with links to paramilitary organisations (which from what Scuzi said, the Police leave alone, letting the paramilitaries dish out their own justice). Main thing is, Scuzi is OK. :)
