If there's any Floyd fans on here, be sure to get tickets for The Australian Pink Floyd, There on the way from the states about now and the first gig in UK is Belfast, this will be my fourth year in a row seeing them.

Awesome nights entertainment, even for the non Floyd fans.

Yeah they put on an awesome show. Some chums and I caught them at the Sheffield arena last year and it was definately a memorable night. I'm not the most knowledgeable pink floyd fan but from a general entertainment point of view the music, lights and effects made for an incredible experience! They were very tight aswell.

seen them about 6 times now, there the best tribute band ive ever seen, they dont look the part, but the music is spot on!

got my ticket to see them in birmingham 1st may. quite strange cos the ticket pric eis like £30 with all the 'handling fees'

first time i saw them i paid £8 .. like 2-3 years ago, was only about 16/17 though - so didnt really appreciate it as much as i have recently, especially since ive started playing an instrument

Brilliant tribute band. Possibly the best and the only one's to pull it off really well. I have caught them a few times in Belfast and I've enjoyed both shows.

But one thing is that their ticket prices are going way up now that they've become slightly more popular. :(

The lead guitarist is a Stokie :D

And yes Mr Bulbous/B12 if you are looking in, they are an Australian band (except the Stokie) and I did concede the point after talking to a local landlady who had filled me full of poo.

On another TB bit of info, a mate of mine has joined the wonderful Limehouse Lizzy so he's off to earn a fortune. He's the guy I spoke about in another thread who gets a right handed guitar and plays it left handed so that the thickest string is now at the bottom (weird).

Think I'l be trying to get tickets in Birmingham for this, have been discussing it with a few mates here at Uni.

The song after time is One of these Days, first track from the Album Meddle :)

seen aussie PF last night in Belfast. 8 years since i last seen them and boy have they upped their game!
a huge floating Hog and kangaroo, lasers, lights and a massive projector or three.
i'm not the biggest PF fan but the show they put on is really worth seeing

they were probably one of the first tribute bands around?
touring every year since 1993!

If you like tribute bands, these guys are awesome:

I went to see a Bryan Adams tribute band the other night and they were excellent but the singer didn't sound like him at all (didn't ruin it though).
I also can't see many people being interested in Bryan Adams and that showed by the 10 people in the audience.

Theres always been tribute bands for as long as I can remember.
In the early 70's I'd go to watch tribute bands of all the greats and so on up until the present time.
Its just that it became big business in the 90's.
Theres always been karaoke but a name was given to it in the 90's and specialised gear.

I saw them a couple of weeks ago in Sheffield, they are awesome! They played a lot off the Wall - opened with the first 5 or 6 songs. Best crowd moment of the evening came when they played "Nobody Home" and when it finished, someone in the crowd yelled out "does anybody here remember Vera Lynn" :D

My stepbrother is the saxophone player for Off The Wall (another Floyd tribute band) - they're an excellent band as well :)

Wanted to see them twice, last year in Rochester Castle, but ticket prices are a bit of a joke. I ain't paying Gilmour prices to see tribute band, no matter how good they are.

The thing is that Floyd have always been about the show and people would walk out talking about the show instead of the music.
APF put virtually the same show on.
