i beleive the some of the other guys do have a kinship thaat they have been inviting new members to.

but im gonna throw my own hat into the ring (the one ring that is)

the kin i play are helpful guys and are always lookng for mature members for the group.

if your interested, or if u need any help / advise give me a shout, i dot know everything but i know a thing or two and i can usually find an answer :p

amount of times i've been fellowed with poor LM is riddiculous, stun is only any good if you stun the right guys. stunning a guy in the middle of a melee that will get woken immediatly by an AOE attack is pointless!

ive put aside my lvl 50 guardian for the time being and have a lvl 43 Loremaster on the go and can safely say that unless players follow the LM then it quickly becomes chaos... specially if you have a Hunter in the grp who thinks he can kill everything, annoying isnt the word (the influx of Hunters now is horendous(sp) and with bk 10 thats all well see on servers soon)

having a Loremaster in a grp can make everyones life real easy and probably pips a captain as an essential part of any fellowship

i ranked up in monster play at lvl 42 and can see why creeps hate that class, we can root stun and deal dmg with ease add to the insta heals from pets flanking

v0id : theres a few in our Kinship atm, Unseen Servants ... casual mature grp with no pressure on your role, so you and anyone else are welcome to contact us

im glad im not the only one that has noticed that hunters think they are immortal!

one of the guys i play regularly with is a Guardian so like yourself he knows his role is to try and hold the agro and his biggest pet hate is over powered hunters pulling guys off him then moaning when they start gettin whacked!

and i agree with your comment about LM's when played well they can make even the hardest of Quests more manageable keepind add's in boss battles undercontrol and be a life saver!

and i love watching creeps gettin stunned / rooted especially the wargs that like to sprint away when they r in trouble just to find themselves stunned :)

my minstrels cry can stun (though to a lesser extent than LM) and i just love stunning a warg and watchig 10-15 guys pile in and beat them senseless.

hoping to do some raid or a good run on Carn Dum over the weekend so that should be interesting

Really enjoying my LM so far, got him to 10 so gonna have a go at monster play today. Will give some of you guys a shout when I get on, haven't really engaged with the community yet. Been too busy running around on quests :D .
 
well not the most productive weekend to be honest,

managed to get some ancient steel woodworking tools which r nice,

earnt some money, helped a mate do some quests and lvl'ed up in the ettenmoors but thats about it.

sundays run in the ettenmoors was pretty fun though with some epic battles,

did anyone do anything of interest over the weekend?

also one day to update are ppl looking forward to the changes?

Got a level 44 captain here, so I absolutely can't wait for tomorrow - that really long cast-time heal we have is going insta, choice of using banners rather than pets, summoning horn use at level 40 now plus a load of other stuff. He's a right little swiss army knife :)

Regarding hunters, my regular group has stopped pulling mobs off any hunter we group with. If they can't wait 5 seconds for the rest of the group to build up aggro on the mobs, they should learn how to the hard way :p
 
Been thinking about giving this a go for a bit of a break from Eve Online. A friend has given me a buddy key but I am a little at a loss as to what I actually do with it. I had the game installed and tried to patch it but it wouldn't patch. I have tried using the key to create an account on the website and that won't accept it. If someone could give me an idiot proof guide on how to get this installed and setup I would be really grateful. I don't want to commit to purchasing this game until I have given it a try.

Wasn't book 10 supposed to be out yesterday. Just asking because i fire lotro today and no update, is it a stand alone patch and if so wondered if anyone else had got it?
 
apparently despite the fact they advertised 21st, the 21st was the date for the US patch

European patch is supposedly schedualed for thursday 23rd (which i suppose makes some sence as thats matenence day)

when the patch comes out you wont be able to get into LOTR without it being patched as the servers will be running the updated version.

apparently a standalone patcher will be available from www.lotro-europe.com
but make sure u dont get the us version as it has been stated this will break ** lotro install.

Is there a free trial for LOTR? I seem to recall one of my PC Gamer discs having the beta on it but I doubt that would work now.
 
The free trial is through the buddy key system afaik. No way I am going to pay £30 for a game just to try and see if I want to continue it. Eve Online's client is free to download. All you pay is your subs. Paying £30 for a game to then pay a monthly sub is kinda lame imho.
 
Well there is a 7 day trial now available which has convinced me to get this, just got it for 17.50 brand new off the bay...

Are there any kinships in the Gilrain server for a lowly level 8 like myself?
 
I am in possession, somehow, of a Kinship on the Eldar server. Anyone who joins that server is welcome :) Although the guild leader is my alt, so doesn't see as much play as my main (who's in a big Kin (Defenders of the White Tree))
 
woo hoo finally lvled up my character in PVP!

not an amazing bulletin i know but it made me happy :)

now if i could just find the last page of my 3rd legendary book then all would be right with the world.

Yes in the end they will learn, it was the same with rangers in eq good players can and will control their aggro, just got the 10 day free trial quite like it.

Yeah, get used to that :)

You won't experience everything first time round, I missed the old forest and shire stuff completely with my first character - there's just too much to see and do, you'll outlevel some areas before you can get to all the quests.
