I know the theif did suffer some injuiries but i couldn't say what. But i know they were enough for him to build a law case against his uncle and yes he did win compensation. Which is why his uncle now always leaves his lights on in his shop now.

And at the guy who said its a friend of a friend. Well mmm, i dont own a shop. I dont know many people that do own shops therefore its highly likely its going to be a friend or a friend of a friend. In this case my friends uncle.

This country and its justice system is nothing more than a joke simply put. The mans a danger whether hes had rehab or not and to let him go just like that is simply shocking...even after his own sister said hes not safe to be on the streets. His Uncle probably leaves them on to help prevent break ins. Have you ever wondered why shops across the country have lights on at night? It's not because they've been sued by burgulars who couldn't see what they were doing. It's because it's a strong deterrent. The shop is lit up, a thief is illuminated to anybody who cares to take a glance in the window.

I did just contact him on msn. He said to me that yes it is all true.

His explanation was something to do with the laws of people having accidents on your property and you being responsible for it. Like if the postman breaks his fingers in your letterbox or something lol (random example). Now you see how its true?

He said he cant be bothered in aruging pointless arguments because you people will never admit your wrong. To be honest its true you wont.



Im sure you people will all gooo ooo sure he said that. But i will keep horasing him untill he does post on here if i have to lol. But you would say that because youd rather say that then admit your wrong.

His explanation makes no sense. A postman is permitted to deliver items to your property. A burglar is not permitted to break into your house and therefore, you have no legal requirement to ensure his safety when on the premises.

I don't really care if your mate on MSN comes on here, there is no way on Earth a man got sued by a burglar because the man had the lights off in his house and the burglar tripped and injured himself. It's just a tale told and passed around by the funny story crowd to provoke conversation.

I've lost count of how many variants I've heard. My Dad's Robot's Uncle's Half sister in law had X happen on her property and the burglar sued them for X amount and won! Yadda yadda yadda. :)
