EDIT - They've removed the really bad video from the Wiki link where, after the crash the photographer runs to the crash site, sees the pilot, goes round the site and there are lots of people weeping and body parts everywhere.

i dont know how people stopped themselves from beating the crap out the pilot after seeing those awful scenes :(

not sure why people in here are saying he did good... was 100% pilot error and hes in jail for 14 years for it now

Since it wasn't 100 decided in the courts, how can you be so confident that it was all his fault? Even the head of the Defence dept. resigned over the incident. His fault or not he would have gone down for it.

We're talking about the one who stayed in the plane to pull it away from the crowd before bailing out.
