Just found a PS2 component lead

Looking for something else and I found a component lead which I don't remember buying.Anyway...How much better will games look compared to standard scart?

The cables will just be sending a standard RGB signal, so it depends if RGB scart or RGB component looks better to you.

Although saying that, there are a few games that support progressive scan, Destroy all humans is one of them.

Checking Wiki, there's a list for US games but very little for PAL.

Some look surprisingly awesome. God of War 2 looks amazing on it and any game with progressive scan look great to such as Shadow of the Colossus.

However it can also make some games look like total poop as the old blurryness hid their faults.

Well if you have both the cables there, try it and let us know?! Component should be better, guessing your using an HD display?

Don't forget to change the ouput settings in the PS2 away from RGB to the component one.

Tryed both leads now on 2 diff HDTVS

55" SXRD sony 1080p RPTV
PQ was the same with both leads + it looked ugly

I tryed FFX/FF12/God of War 1

40" sammy 1366/768
There was a slight improvement in all games, More noticeable in God of war.Looked a lot better compared to my 1080p set.But then my SXRD is a lot bigger in both size and res

Might take some screenshots tomorrow.
