I do miss this sound (Mustang)

Thats sounds really nice. Raspier than i thought, might just be the Camera Though. Id prefer the sound of the vette from the video of the 2 Supra's racing. Oh my

I had a CSL boot it behind me whilst I was on the bike the other day.

Everything was normal with everyday car noise then a loud burst of noise came from behind, before I could turn around a silver CSL just coasted past me coming upto some lights.

I have to say, it sounded stunning!

I would be seriously pining if I had to get rid of a car like that :(

There's such presence that goes hand in hand with that noise, wonderful.

24mb for 13 seconds

have to admit it sounds superb though. if the forthcoming chevy camaro sounds anything like that then i'll have to own one.

Were they shot before or after the SC was introduced to that car?

Hi there

The whine in the flyby video kinda gives that away. ;) :)

Sounds awesome :)
What's the ticking noise?

There was no ticking noise that I can hear, unless you mean the rasp and if so thats because its got an X-Pipe instead of H-Pipe and hence make it sound more raspy, aka nascar sound. H-Pipe's give a more muscular sound. :)

Remind me why you sold it and went for the CSL?

Hi there

It was the right time to sell the Mustang if I wanted to prevent loosing any more. I made nearly 2k profit, if I'd have kept it another 6 months the risk of loosing money was far higher with losses of upto 5k. Since I've sold my, not a single Mustang has sold on Pistonheads since so I think I got in just in time. Its a limited market and there is now loads of Mustangs for sale due to importer getting a bit carried away, very shortly prices will fall a lot due to lots of cars for sale but not many selling.

Don't get me wrong I really do miss the Mustang, it was just unbeatable in certain aspects. Out of all the cars I drove the CSL and Z06 were the cars which ticked the most boxes. CSL financially was a safe bet with values holding and increasing, plus to drive its an absolute hoot.

Plus also I'd preferre to drive and own lots of different nice exotic cars rather than just sticking to one for years and loosing a shed load of money. :)
