If I just had $60k handy.....

365GT4 2+2. Same running gear as the Daytona (4.4L DOHC V12 with six Webers), with a 200mm longer wheelbase to make room for the rear seat. That one has a bit shy of 22k on the clock, along with all the original paperwork, Ferrari toolkit and jack.

hmm I like it, more yank hotrod than italian sportscar, mundane exterior looks but big exhauasts and huge rear tyres are a tell-tale sign that this is no ordinary car.

Reminds me of the Lancia Thema 8.32 V8, the one with the Ferrari engine.

The rear shot looks like an old jack/aston to me for some reason but i dont know my old ferraris.

Why the hell cant modern engine bays look like that?

'Pop the hood' and its all slabs of plastic.

Those two red things be distributors? I love the carbs and how the throttle works. Bloody work of art.

The clutch pedal looks miles away from the brake pedal. Is it that far?

Why spend 60k.....Just buy a tidy, sound 400i for 8-10 grand over here and be done with it

It's effectively just the development of the 365 anyway..4.8 litre V12, 310 HP

...or a 412. Few manual 400GTs around for 15 grand!

Simplest answer - because of those six Webers. The sound of the car was altered (read: ruined) when they went to fuel injection. Plus the power dropped quite a way, and wasn't restored until the 412i.

I'm trying to find a video of one to see how they sound but all the ones on YouTube are replicas with chevy V8s and stuff :/
