Any masters of Company of Heros on here?

I've just got it and am looking for tips for online play seem to be getting my butt handed to me...

I prefer playing co-op. Me and someone else vs the computer. Playing online can be hard but even annoying as majority of players will rush. Build a ton of tanks + infantry and just rush your base, unless your playing with someone you know. I like setting up bases first and building defences then actually fighting, makes it more interesting.

COH online is great fun and the ladder is very competitive, though best avoided till been playing for some time.

1st step would be to play 2v2 games named for noobs only(though often players arnt as noob as they make out to be)- best map to learn micro in the game initially is vire river valley and plenty of new players start these games up.
download a couple of 2v2 replays from gamereplays.org and it will help loads(also great forums there)

be prepared to lose lots of games and you need to put effort in to learning how the game works

Yeah well I suppose it's a problem with RTS games, people find the easiest ways to win, might not be fun but i happens unfortunatly.

Favorite map is Lyon since theres 2 sides and 3 bridges seperating you, so you can have some great defences as well.

If you post your xfire I'll add you and we could play co-op or a few rounds at some point.

Lyon has 4 bridges btw

dont forget the left bridge perfect for sending accross infantry

But agreed Lyon is a great map playing 1v1 on it is extremly intresting

Now its pio spam you gotta look out for!

But yeah, gr.org is the place to go to learn about CoH. If you are really serious, they even have a mentor/mentee program that pairs you up with a top player.

When you talk about co-op do you mean you can play the story mode or just two+ humans vs computers in normal skrimish mode?

That map is insane for long games .. i've had two 3 + hour games on it

We blow / cut off the two smaller bridges then dig in either side of the main bridge and bombard each other until one makes a small mistake an then you pile in with men or tanks ...

Its good fun - I prefer it as the americans though as if one of you plays as Airbourne then you can call in recon planes to scout out their positions an then calliope their ASS!
I normally play as armour on that map
