except as soon as she said, Hi its Blah Blah from tesco direct I stopped her & said I'll cancel my pr-order now bye lol, she was like :eek:

be funny if everyone done the same :)
 
I had the same call. First of all I know they do not have to sell it at that price, but a lot of companies live up to it. Tesco being one of the largest companies in the world should have lived up to it. Why did it take them over a month to call and say that? Crappy Tesco.
 
Me too!

£17.93 at one of their biggest competitors, asda. I'll give them the business instead.

Tesco have lost more than 12 quid or so as I'll not shop there now. There are plenty of other supermarkets around here to spend £100 per week on household shopping.
 
Just had my call as well, cancelled with them, shame as it was a good price.

Has anyone kicked up a fuss and got them to honor the price yet.

according to the terms and conditions they have the right to change the price and dont need to uphold advertised prices..

Just just had a message left on my mobile about this??

I called them the other week to check and the lady on the phone said if we advertise it at that price we will honor that sale and send it out at that price, now they call back and say that got it wrong and I need to pay more?

Surely they can't do that :confused::confused:
 
I havent had any calls to say that, and technically they should have to leave it at the £12 odds for all those who have pre ordered it, cant remember which law it is but it is a law.

edit: the orange box is on there aswell, hl2 ep1 hl2 ep2 tf2 and portal, £28! and it doesnt have the tesco value logo on it! bargain!

The game is very jerky, players warp around etc despite max fps. I think its because the game was built on singleplayer engine.

used to be a law, cant remember the exact wording but now the retailer has the option of withdrawing the contract of sale. changed a few years ago iirc

Tbh the game is pretty crap hence the reason I tried my luck at this Tesco "deal". No chance im ordering at the retail price.
 
Just had the call also. When something seems to good to be true it usually is.

Tried to negotiate with advisor but he didn't want to know.
 
If this was the well known jersey comapny we wouldnt have any problems, they would have honoured the price, as ive had a few cheap pre orders and still got them for that price even though it was rasied soon after.

AS for tescos they make what?, over a hundred million a year in profits and they wont even honour a measly £12-14 deficit on a game.
