how do you hide your phone number from others?

Its 141, but you dont need to drop any digits at all. I use it at work all the time at work, means customers answer rather than just ignore the number :p

I'll never understand people who won't pick up a withheld. What did you before Caller ID, never answer the phone?

I always do but then, my parents house is automatically withheld, so most of the time it's just them calling me.

sorry to kinda hijack but the thread has been answered :p but how do you hide your number from people... for example if someone asks for your number and you dont want them to have it, what do you say?

ah ok, been a few years since my prank calling escapades :p

From quite a few years back.

Me: Hello, Mr Pratt?
Him: Yes, that's me
Me: Mr A. Pratt?
Him: Yes I'm A. Pratt, now what do you want?
Me: Nothing really, just ringing to inform you that you're definitely A. Pratt.
Him: Not you again? **** off!

:D

Very good indeed. :)

How about if your boss or someone at work asks for it on a "friendly" basis so they can call you whenever  (and its not in your contract)

but you dont want to be rude...:)

Please, ladies and gentlemen, be aware that unless you bounce your call a lot (and even then it can be found) or use a truely anonymous source, your call IS traceable, especially by law enforcement or someone with friends in telecoms or law enforcement.
